H appy new year everyone. I just wanted to do a recap of our

wonderful Christmas brunch. Bill & Gina Crackbon do an amazing job putting this all together. To begin with the venue is under new ownership and there were a few changes and deci-sions to be made that Bill had to deal with to keep us all happy. Since every-one was happy I think he did a great job. Gina did another over the top job of creating our table center pieces. They were awesome. The lucky ones with the winning numbers whom re-ceived the pieces were very happy. This was the first year that John Gir-man was our Master of Ceremonies and to use Carol Rasmussen’s words… He did a Fabulous Job !!! Thank you John for all the hard work this last year and MCing the brunch . And speaking

of Carol, I am thinking that our high-light of the brunch is Carol’s gift ex-change. Everyone is laughing, smiling, groaning and moaning as the gifts are opened, shared and stolen. What a hoot it was ! Thank you Carol for all your hard work you put into the gift exchange and throughout the year. For our 2018 “Member of The Year” our President’s choice was Brian Clary. Brian certainly had a tough year trying to get his world sorted out after the Tubbs fire changed everything. Through it all he continued to take care of his Treasurer duties and faith-fully attended both the board and club meetings along with attending our club events. Amazing. Thank you Bri-an. From The President:

Minutes of General Meeting

Continued on Page 6

H appy New Year! I guess I can still

say that because it’s still January as

I write this. It seems like it was long ago

but we had a good Christmas Brunch as

always. The facility at the country club is

being run by a new group but things went

smoothly and the food and camaraderie

were good. Also, hope everyone has a

Happy Valentine’s Day. Don’t forget to do

something special for your Sweetie. (And,

no, I’m not referring to your Early Ford

V8.)

Welcome to Dennis Ripple as our new club

treasurer. He has been busy signing on to

the club bank accounts, getting the past

club records and generally getting up to

speed on his new responsibilities. We’re

glad to have you onboard. And thanks to

outgoing treasurer, Brian Clary, 2018

Member of the Year, for all his work during

the past several years in keeping the club’s

finances in good shape. Patty Girman is

taking on the roster/membership duties so

you may be hearing from her as she col-

lects membership information.

I’ve heard that several club members

made it to the Turlock swap meet. Mike

Buegeleisen had a booth there and sold

some goodies. He and Dave Peterson also

got flyers out to advertise our swap meet

in May.

The Club recently purchased a brick from

the Early Ford V8 Foundation in memory

of Mike Haen, as we have done for other

past Presidents. Think about going to Au-

burn, IN for the Central National Meet

with other club members this August and

check it out.

Finally, but very importantly, your dues

are due! Still only $20! We plan on

getting a roster put together this year and

without being a paid-up member, your

information may not make into the roster.

Take a look at the notice elsewhere in this

newsletter for more details.

John Girman

Tuesday January 8, 2019

Dues and Roster

It is that time again to make sure that you have paid your dues for your 2019 membership in the Redwood Empire V-8

correct information. Our last Roster was done in 2016, so some of your information may have changed, e.g., phone

numbers, cars owned, etc. So please take time to look at your 2016 Roster and, if there is information that has changed

or is new, please contact Patty Girman, email: [email protected] or 707-992-0730. She will also be passing around the

current information that she has at the next meeting so changes can be made then. All dues and information needs to

be received by the February 12, 2019 meeting or we cannot guarantee that you will make the updated roster. So please

get yours dues to Denny Ripple, our treasurer, either at the meeting or mail to RERG #27, P.O. Box 3302, Santa Rosa, CA

95402. He can also pass along any changes to Patty.
