academic year.
Additional apartment facilities
might be used to accommodate
returning students based on
enrollment trends.
As Tarleton’s incoming class
continues to grow, Residential
Living & Learning continues to
adjust hall assignments to accom-
modate our returning student’s
second year residential require-
ment. Students who graduated
from high school in Spring 2014
will live on campus again for the
Fall 2015-Spring 2016 academic
year.
Residential Living & Learning
offers a wide variety of space
options to meet returning
student needs. We are excited
to offer a range of spaces. Re-
turning students will continue to
have the low cost option of a
shared bedroom type in Bosque
Crossing among other apartment
types. We are also continuing
our partnership with the Grove
Apartments while evaluating
additional apartment needs.
Returning students will assign
themselves to the following facili-

Some students have taken advantage of advertised lease spe-cials that seem too good to be true. Students with a residential
requirement will not be released from their second year residential requirement to accommodate off campus leases. Students will not know if they have been released from their
second year requirement for their overall, cumulative GPA until the beginning of June 2015. To avoid the cost of dual leases,
we recommend seeking a release from any current agreements off campus.

Integrity Hall will be a co-ed
facility that primarily houses
second year students. It is a
fully air-conditioned hall that
features a popular private
bedroom layout and all the
amenities our residential
students enjoy.
Integrity Hall will have secure
card swipe hall and room ac-
cess with two and four bed-
room options. It features large
bedrooms with full size beds in
an apartment style suite with a
living room and kitchenette.
This new hall will also
encourage community building
with great lobbies, study space
and full kitchens on each floor.
The activity courtyard will
have a recreation space with
an outdoor television to enjoy
events and activities together.
In addition, there is an active
Residential Leader staff and
Hall Leadership Team that
work together to build
community and create an
environment where residents
experience social and
academic success.

do not have a roommate preference
you will skip this step (Note: only one
person needs to assign the group)
Step Two: search for a “room type”
using the drop down box. A list of
available rooms will populate in the
“search results” window.
Step Three: Click on the grey ar-
row next to the room you want.
(You can view the personal prefer-
ences of a student already assigned in

next to the room and clicking the
students name).

lock icon next to the specific bed
space you wish to reside in
(A,B,C,D). You will then be di-

Tarleton State University
implemented a two year
residential requirement in
order to increase student
success. Research shows that
students who live on campus
have higher satisfaction with
their educational experience,
perform better academically
and persist with their
education.
We have started to see positive
results as our first and second
year students become
immersed in a residential
experience that enhances their
development.

There is a distinct advantage to living
on campus. Proximity increases the
probability that students will access
the numerous resources on campus.
Class and study group attendance is
also more likely when students have
peers knocking on doors and encour-
aging attendance.
Tarleton’s goal is to increase academ-
ic success and encourage students to
persist so that they graduate on time.
Residing on campus allows students
an immersion into real world experi-
ences that prove invaluable to each
student’s development and Tarleton
supports an on campus requirement
to create that environment. The resi-
dency requirement is four long se-
mesters (2 full academic years) for:
First year students who are un-
der 21 years of age prior to the
start of his/her registered semes-
ter. Students who graduated
from High School in Spring 2014
will live on campus during the
Fall 2015-Spring 2017 academic
year.
Transfer students who are under
21 years of age with less than 12
credit hours prior to the start of
his/her registered semester.

Every moment a student spends both inside and
outside the classroom has the potential to encour-
age personal growth. Our goal is to
enhance the time spent outside the classroom by
intentionally designing opportunities for
involvement that include:
Lifelong relationships
Convenient access to campus resources and
services
Interaction with faculty outside the classroom
Connections with student groups and
organizations
Leadership development skills
Close-knit communities
