The Project implements an innovative risk-intelligent, holistic approach.
• Innovative:
– looking at ‘value’ arguments: both qualitative and quantitative,
– benchmarking is undertaken across a broad range of industries with similar
issues,
• Holistic:
– the analysis of ship dismantling combines social, legal, technical,
environmental and economic drivers and constraints,
• Risk intelligent:
– the most appropriate, validated, risk and economic tools and models are
applied to each individual steps of dismantling chain
