This research aims to determine the characteristics of internet use
among undergraduate Aleppo university students. The researcher
designed a questionnaire, and distributed it to an accessible sample of
the research population, its size reached 365 student who use the
internet. The findings were: there is no statistically significant relation

Abstract
In this research we try to prove the importance of the loss and
retention rates is important indicators for Actuarial portfolio operations
in the insurance companies, and as a performance criteria in that
companies, in addition to their importance in determining the goals and
related policies in the insurance companies.
We also attempt in this research to select branches of the
Actuarial portfolio of Alaqeela Takaful Insurance Company, the
branches have low loss rats, and discover the role that the loss and the
retention rates play in the branches of its Actuarial portfolio, by testing
the hypotheses of research during the period (2008- 2012) using
analysis of the variance method.
We have found there aren't differences among the loss rates
depending on the branches of Actuarial portfolio of studied Company.
While there are differences among the retention rates depending on the
branches of Actuarial portfolio of the same company. But there aren't
differences among the both loss and retention rates of each branch of
the Actuarial portfolio depending on the time, and there is an
interaction relationship between the loss and the retention rates. Key words: Loss Rate, Retention Rate, Actuarial Portfolio, Takaful Insurance.

The Effect of Internet Use among Aleppo University
Students on their Participatory Life in their Nuclear
Family Muhammad Samir Darkazanli, Marah Khanjian Dept. of Statistics, Faculty of Economics, Aleppo University
Postgraduate Student(MSc), Dept. of Demography, Faculty of Economics,

Abstract
This research aims to identify the impact of internet use among
undergraduate Aleppo university students on their participatory life in
their nuclear family. The findings were: 41.6% of the students pointed
that the internet has reduced their participation in family activities at
home, which was the highest negative impact of internet in the field of
family participation. Results also showed that there were no
statistically significant differences in the impact of internet use on the
student's participatory lives attributed to the student's sex, or the
student's family members number. While there were statistically
significant differences in this impact attributed to the number of hours
of internet daily use, and to the number of times of internet daily use.
Which means that there was a direct relation between each of the
previous variables and the negative impact. As the number of hours or
the number of times of internet daily uses increases, the negative
impact increase.

Abstract The process of granting bank loans is always accompanied by
the risk of lack of commitment to repay the loan, so we have tried in
this research to predict how borrowers' ability to repay the loan based
on their own data, Where we will study and learn the relative weight of
each variable and its importance to the process of repaying the loan
through data analysis borrowers older who have dealt with the bank in
order to predict the borrowers current and help the decision-maker to
take the decision to grant credit using the method of artificial neural
networks multilayer Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP) which is most
commonly used in the prediction. while continuing to train the network
to reach the best model to predict the research has come out that the
artificial neural network is able to increase the predictive ability to
quickly and accurately in the case of missing data. Key words: bank credit, credit risk, neural networks.

Abstract: Evaluating the risks of information security is a complex process
shrouded in uncertainty and ambiguity; there are many of proposed
methodologies in international standards for evaluating information
security risks issued by the international organizations such as the
National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and the
International Organization for Standards (ISO). So we have tried in
this research to develop a model for risks evaluation based on the
models proposed by international standards and according to multiple
criteria to determine the severity of the impact and potential threats,
which commensurate with the nature of the organization's work. We
apply the proposed model on AUTOMATA4 Company Database using
fuzzy logic techniques and multi-standards decision-making. The
research found that the fuzzy logic and multiple standards helped in
increasing the accuracy of evaluation results, the researcher
recommended the need for continuous assessment and periodic for all
parts of the information system.
Key words: information security evaluation, fuzzy logic, multi-criteria decision-
making, Simple Additive Weighting Method.

ABSTRACT The world is witnessing a shift in the political, economic and
social fields by the effects of globalization and its impact on various
aspects and manifestations experienced by the international
community, and the phenomenon of regional economic blocs is one of
the phenomena that have been affected by globalization, with the
crystallization of globalization since the nineties of the last century,
dramatic increase has been noted a in the number of regional economic
blocs. These blocs have extended to include all countries, both
developing and developed, a lot of countries have become a member in
more than one economic bloc. On the other hand, in the light of
globalization these blocs lead a different way which is contrary to what
it was in the fifties and sixties of the twentieth centuy .These blocs are
no longer regional in the literal meaning of the word, as they do not
adhere to traditional conditions for the establishment of the economic
bloc, they liberated from the old restrictions and controls necessary to
establish an economic bloc, even began a new term called "new
regionalism". This new concept is associated with the emergence of
globalization and its effects on the old forms of economic blocs.
We have dealt in this research with the effects of globalization
on economic blocs, by knowing the reasons for increasing the number
and formation of these blocs in the context of globalization .In addition
to considering new forms and patterns of economic blocs that have
emerged by globalization in the international arena .Finally, the
identification of the concept of new regionalism and the differences
between new regionalism and the old one.

Abstract
This study aims at a Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making to
determine the relativity weights of multiple and competing criteria in
stock evaluation, and helping investor to make the best decisions for
the operation of investment under either local or global free
competition, so we’ve made a distribution a special questionnaire of
compared pairwise criteria (5 basic criteria and 11 secondary standard
ones) on the academic experts at the University of Aleppo, the
questionnaire was processed by using the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy
Process ,we’ve reached at relativity weights of 8 financial ratios and
exclude 3 of them from stocks evaluation process. Then we’ve
collected and analyzed the historical data for 3 companies listed on the
ASE of the period (2006-2013), depending on the 8 ratios using a
Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution, We’ve
reached that the results of the proposed model gives higher return rate
of investment portfolio in less possible risk by comparing it with the
quadratic programming method.
