Research & Practice Winter Lecture Series Planetary Health Wildfires & Human Health Dr. Kari Nadeau Director, Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research WEDNESDAY, FEB 20 | Y2E2 299 | 5:00PM The unfortunate increase in wildfires in association with climate change has only augmented the impact of air pollution on health in many areas of the country. Overall, wildfires have resulted in increased strokes, heart attacks, asthma attacks and respiratory disorders. Come hear about Dr Kari Nadeau's research here at Stanford, in which she investigates the impact of wildfires on health, focusing on the immune system and associated allergic disease.
