Understanding & showing how (I

understand) things to work.

To then help speculate and discuss

possibilities/ potentials.

Intro

3rd year Shia….BOOOOOOMMMM 4th year Shia….

…pretty much sums it up.

Last year i felt ridiculously doubtful and often afraid to create anything beyond formed

ideas.

This year im hoping to use the mantra “DO IT” (also inspired by NIKE) to be more physical

and attempt not to end every sentance with sorry.

How/Methodological

approach.

How/Methodological

approach.

The world is complex, dynamic, multidimensional; the paper is static, flat. How are we to represent the rich visual world of experience and measurement on a mere flatland?

To envision information – and what bright and splendid visions can result – is to work at the intersection of image, word, number, art.

When you're young, you look at television and think, There's a conspiracy. The networks have conspired to dumb us down. But when you get a little older, you realize that's not true. The networks are in business to give people exactly what they want. That's a far more depressing thought. Conspiracy is optimistic! You can shoot the bastards! We can have a revolution! But the networks are really in business to give people what they want. It's the truth.

Clayton ChristensenIt’s easier to hold to your principles 100% of the time than it is to hold to them 98% of the time.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson

The most astounding fact is the knowledge that the atoms that comprise life on earth,

the atoms that make up the human body, are traceable to the crucibles that cooked light

elements into heavy elements in their core, under extreme temperatures and pressures.

These stars,…collapsed and then exploded, scattering their enriched guts across the

galaxy.

…we are part of this universe, we are in this universe, …the universe is in us. …many

people feel small cause they're small and the universe is big, but I feel big.

Because my atoms came from those stars. There's a level of connectivity - that's really

what you want in life, you want to feel connected, you want to feel relevant, you want to

feel like you're a participant in the goings on of activities and events around you. That's

precisely what we are, just by being alive.

individual/personal

relevance/ importance

What am I doing? What’s my

interests?

I wanted to display/ communicate this

in-order to start a conversation/ make

‘art’, I think maybe because of the

multitude of links, thoughts, stuff in

my head, this is the only way I feel I

can manage it. (Public talking, as you

will now know, leaves me feeling like

I haven’t managed to coherently

verbalise my thoughts in the manner

I intend).

I like to know how things

work and link up thoughts

naturally we shape and

are reshaped by our

cultural environment, I

guess I wanted to know

why I can feel the way I

do so often.

What am I doing? What’s my

interests?
