Conference Organization

Alain Verbeke organized a panel session at the European International Business Academy meetings in Uppsala, Sweden, in December 2014, entitled “The intellectual legacy of Alan Rugman for IB research”, at which he gave a presentation on New Internalization Theory. He also presented his new co-edited book at a plenary conference session, in honour of Daniel Van Den Bulcke. The book is entitled “Multinational Enterprises, Markets and Institutional Diversity” (Emerald).

Fengmei Gong, PhD candidate in Management Information Systems, successfully defended her dissertation “Studies on IT, Logistics, and the Structure of Production” on January 12, 2015. Fengmei is supervised by Dr. Barrie Nault.

Zaman Forootan, PhD candidate in Operations and Supply Chain Management, successfully defended his dissertation “An Inventory Model for Multi-Echelon Supply Chains with Price and Inventory-Level-Dependent Demand” on February 24, 2015.
