Brain-based Biomarkers for Depression Diagnoses

9

• Providing a quantitative measure to assist diagnosis of depressed patient.

• Identify the most significant biomarkers in the EEG signals that can help physicians in their decision making.

Objectives

• Records the electric activities of the brain by attaching 28 electrodes on the scalp.

• 4 frequency bands: Alpha, Beta, Theta and Delta Recorded from Mastoid & Cz Session Eyes Open & Eyes Closed 53 patients, and 42 healthy individuals Collected by the Royal Ottawa Hospital
