Problem: Colors are not coming out right

If ONLY your black cartridge was just refilled, your color may be running low as well. It may be time to take it in to an Island Ink-Jet service center. If your color was just refilled, it is likely the colors have been mixed up a little. Follow these steps to try to rectify the issue: 1. Try printing a few pages of pure yellow, then

pure red, then pure blue. This will often work the problem out.

2. Take a dry piece of lint-free shop towel and fold it up until its about half an inch thick. Use a rub-ber band to secure this towel to the bottom of the cartridge where the ink comes out. Place the cartridge in a dish or sink for 5-10 minutes, then remove the towel and try printing again.

If the problem persists, please take the cartridge to your Island Ink-Jet location for further assistance.

Problem: Cartridge reading as MISSING or WRONG

The copper strip on the back of the cartridge is very sensitive to static discharge, and can also be dis-rupted by the oil from skin, or residual water. Take a moment to gently brush this strip off with a piece of paper towel, and reinstall it into the printer.

Warnings of climate change are escalating and scien-tists believe that climate change is becoming an inter-national crisis. Each of us can contribute to the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions through our indi-vidual choices. Choosing to refill your cartridge has already made a difference. Here’s a list of ten more things you can do, as suggested by the recent film “An Inconvenient Truth”. By doing these ten simple things, you can significantly reduce your own CO2 emissions. By encouraging others to do the same, you can do even more.
