DECLARING FRIDAY, F EBRUARY 14, 1964, AS ·A SPECIAL P UBLIC lWLIDAY IN THE PROVINCES OF COTABATO, LANAO DEL N0l1TE, LANAO DEL SUR, AND SULU, AND IN THE CITIES OF BA­SILAN, COTADATO, ILIGAN, AND MARAWI

In connection with the feast of ID-UL-FITR, a very important holiday for Muslims, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, pursuant to the auth.o:dty vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declar e Friday, February 14, 1964, as a special public holiday in the provinces of Cotabato, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, and Sulu, and in the cities of Basilan, Cotabato, !ligan, and Marawi.

Muslin officials and employees of the Government, both national and local, performing their duties and functions outside of the provinces and cities above stated, shall be exempted from duty during this feast day which, for purposes of this proclamation, shall be considered as a special public holiday for said officials and employees in their respective stations.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

EXTENDING THE NATIONAL MEMBERSHIP AND ', < FUND DRIVE OF THE PHILIPPINE CAN SOCIETY, INC., UP TO MARCH 31, 1964

WHEREAS, the period from December 1, 1963, to January 31, 1964, was set aside fOT the national mempership and fund drive of the Philippine Cancer Society, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, the Society needs additional time to realize its quota of P275,000 to continue its activities;

Now, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, .do . hereby extend the national membership and fund drive of the PhilippineCan~er Society, Inc., up to March 31, 1964. .
