From Your Manager, Adrian Boe Happy April (Fool’s Day) everyone. This past month has been a whirlwind for me at Garden View Lodge. This is a very busy place. Thanks to all of you for a very warm welcome and for all your kind words of encouragement. There are so many new faces, but in time I will be able to remember all your names. Thank you for stopping by the office to introduce yourselves. I was going to say I have big shoes to fill as Jackie is a woman with so many shoes. I know you will miss Jackie and we wish her all the best. She and Moozie have promised to stay in touch. As for our facility, I see great opportunity here, and with your help, I hope to make Garden View even better in the future. I am a great believer in the benefits of fresh air and sunshine, and I will be encouraging everyone to get outside, weather permitting. Thanks to those who help with grounds maintenance, it is most appreciated, but please be careful. Lawn maintenance, fertilizing, and aeration will begin soon to get the grounds looking sharp! Please watch for signage and equipment. That’s all for now. Maintenance Corner

Hello Residents,

April is now upon us and warmer days are on their way. Please remember our evenings are still very cool, so keep your windows tightly closed to keep out those drafts.

We should all try to get outside during these warmer days and go for a stroll. Spring is here for all to enjoy.

How to Fall Asleep Better

Many people have trouble falling asleep at night. Here are some tips to help you fall asleep easier. Go to bed the same time every night and get up at the same time

every morning. Make sure your bedroom is cool, dark, and comfortable

Exercise everyday but avoid exercise 4 hours before you go to bed.

Develop sleep rituals that include quiet activities such as reading for 15 minutes before you go to bed.

If you are struggling to fall asleep, don’t struggle in your bed or you may train yourself to have difficulties there. Instead sit and read and return when you feel tired.

With these tips we can enjoy a restful sleep
