RESILIENCE—NOT JUST A BUZZ WORD Resilience and emergency planning professionals are invited to this years’ Emergency Planning
Society conference—Resilience: Not Just a Buzz Word. The event, taking place at the Birmingham
NEC on Sept 25, in partnership with the Emergency Services Show, is a chance to: network, listen
to case studies from top speakers and discuss learning from incidents. The event is predominantly
focused on long term recovery and includes speakers from Japan, Chernobyl, Public Health
England and the Environment Agency along with others from across the UK. It will address the
long term community challenges following two of the biggest disasters the world has seen, how
learning has been transferred to the UK, learning from UK incidents along with considering some of
the new risks faced by Emergency Planners.
Delegates will receive a Delegate Bag containing a copy of Business Continuity for Dummies plus
lots more…
