ResistivityResistivitySoil Box

For Testing Soil Or Water SamplesResistance meters are designed to measure theresistivity of electrolytes. To use these metersfor testing soil or water samples that have beenremoved, Corrpro offers several types ofresistivity testing boxes. The boxes are made ofclear Plexiglas. They have rounded corners foreasy cleaning and are watertight. To passcurrent through the soil or water electrolyte,brass or stainless steel plates are located on thelongitudinal ends of the box. Pins formeasuring voltage drop are uniformly spacedwithin the box. They are made from solid brass,and are detachable fore easy replacement orcleaning. Connection points for meter test leadsare permanently mounted. By using a springeye-hole connection method, the contacts assurea low-resistance connection, and make thetesting setup procedure a snap.

Corrpro soil boxes provide an environment forobtaining accurate soil and water resistivityreadings. Spacing of the voltage-drop pins incentimeters is equal to the cross-sectional area ofthe box in square centimeters. Because of thisspecial design, the resistivity can be expressed inohm-centimeter, which is the universallyaccepted unit of measure.

Typical ApplicationThe soil testing boxes offered by Corrpro areintended for quick and accurate resistivitymeasurement of soil or water samples. They canbe used in the field or laboratory with either aresistance meter or a specially equipped digitalor analog multimeter. The Plexiglas box issmall, lightweight, and resistant to mostchemicals found in water or soil electrolytes.
