    Qualifications:

    Education Level : College or University/Diploma/Hotel Management School

    Experience : 4 years of experience in Similar F&B Operation

    Language : Fluent spoken and written English and Italian. Any other

    languages proficiency will be an added advantage.

    Job Description:

    The Restaurant Manager performs key functions of restaurant management, operations,

    administration and training for all restaurant associates.

    The restaurant manager focuses on all aspects of the management taking in considerationcustomer needs, prevailing food and beverage trends.

    The restaurant manager interfaces with the hotel management (EAM F&B/ADF&B) to

    report on operational and personnel issues, sales and cost performance, as well as updates

    and changes made to menu content and pricing, structure and staffing, service sequences,

    promotions.

    The restaurant manager maintains excellent relations and communications with his

    restaurant team as well as all other hotel departments.

    To oversee the operations of Prego and Niche Bar department and ensure outstanding food

    and beverage quality and presentation, achieve or exceed business objectives and

    F&B profitability.

    To keep the restaurant and bar department functioning smoothly by ensuring that team

    members operate with peak efficiency through coordination, communication,

    leadership and cooperation.

    To provide an inspiring example of restaurant citizenship, responsibility and resourcefulness

    by asserting, protecting, and demonstrating the core values of the Westin

    commitment to culinary excellence.To provide team members with a consistent management voice to upper management.

    To develop sound financial projections and manage cost control.

    To effectively implement food and beverage objectives such as customer service /

    satisfaction, financial targets, revenues and profits, image enhancement and staff

    appearance standards.

    To develop and implement Food and Beverage promotions, strategies and special events in

    conjunction with the culinary leadership and the Director of Sales and Marketing.

    To coordinate the upkeep and cleanliness of all Restaurants, Bars and event area by liaising

    with Housekeeping and Maintenance.To liaise with the culinary leadership on menu engineering and portion control, ensuring the

    highest food standard is achieved whilst selling at the correct prices.

    To maintain all equipment within the Restaurants and Bars e.g. Menus, linen, china, glass,

    electrical equipment and Point of Sale system.

    Responsible for the checking of all stock, requisitions and equipment on a regular basis.

    Drive corporate or Hotel specific programs that affect guest satisfaction and profitability in

    the outlets (e.g. Starwood Preferred Guest, Wines of the World, etc.)

    To implement control procedures to minimize errors, fraud and waste.To ensure that the property is seen as being the principle innovator in the market place in all

    disciplines we undertake.

    To coordinate Hotel wine lists, offering choice and variety as well as price consistency

    throughout the Outlets.

    To manage all entertainers in the property, ensuring quality standards are maintained.

    To handle Food and Beverage complaints in a timely and effective manner.

    To ensure correct liquor licensing laws are abided by, paying particular attention to

    intoxicated guests and underage guests.

    To prepare monthly outlook/forecast reports.

    To negotiate Food and Beverage contracts within corporate guidelines.

    To conduct development and performance reviews, identifying key personnel for further

    development and structured career path.

    To implement and maintain training systems to ensure that associates have the necessary

    framework and skills to perform their job efficiently and effectively.

    To prepare work schedules and annual leave schedules within budget, business expectations

    and guidelines of the appropriate industrial legislation.

    To participate in the preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plans.

    To attend meetings as required.

    To implement opportunities for quality Team Building.To ensure that all associates comply with the grooming and uniform standards.

    To oversee the selection and appointment of new associates within the department following

    The Westin Shanghai guidelines.

    To conduct regular staff meetings to keep all associates informed.

    To participate in the Hotel Manager on Duty program.

    To ensure compliance with heath legislation and safety requirements within the workplace.

    To comply with all Corporate and Hotel Standards and Procedures.

    To promote by example the principles of The Power of Service.

    To actively promote a work environment, that care for guests and associates alike.The restaurant manager will be required to conduct his duties in a courteous, safe and

    efficient manner, in accordance with The Westin Shanghai, policies and procedures,

    ensuring that the highest level of service and communication are maintained.

    The restaurant manager will be required to adhere to and support all Starwood related policy

    and procedures.
