BookstoreFind out which textbooks are required for your courses, order them, and have them shipped directly to you from The WKU Store.

Career Services CenterThe Career Services Center is WKU’s one stop shop for all your career related needs. Staff can assist you in your job search, help you develop your career portfolio, and assist you with the internship/co-op process. They can also help you choose a career path based on your personal interests.

Library ResourcesWKU Libraries has an extensive catalog of electronic journals and databases, easily accessed with the click of a mouse! Searching has been streamlined through the One-Search Box, making it even easier to find the information you need! Other services include interlibrary loan, individual research assistance, subject guides, research tutorials, and more.

Online CommunityThe Online Community for Distance Learners was designed to help you stay connected to WKU wherever you are! The Community keeps you informed of upcoming deadlines, registration dates, new support services, and more! To become part of the Community, just email us at [email protected]. Please include your WKU student ID number in your email.

Online TutoringOnline Tutoring is available for undergraduate students in more than 200 subject areas through The Learning Center at WKU. Whether you’re a distance learner or you just feel like working on your courses from the comfort of your own space, online tutoring sessions provide quality academic assistance for a variety of classes.

Online Writing CenterThe Online Writing Center is available for graduate and undergraduate students. Once you submit your paper online, trained tutors will review the paper and provide personalized feedback. The feedback will include an audio explanation of the tutor’s suggestions as well as written comments. One-on-one conferences with writing center tutors are also available.

Orientation for Distance LearnersWhether you’re a new student or simply interested in experiencing an online learning environment to see if it’s right for you, this orientation is a great place to start! It not only connects you with helpful resources, but since it’s housed in Blackboard, it also provides you with the opportunity to experience WKU’s learning management system firsthand.

Social NetworkingOur office provides several ways for distance learners to get to know one another and stay up-to-date on the latest distance learning news. Opportunities include the Online Community, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and a quarterly newsletter. Just click our “Stay Connected” tab in the Student Resource Portal (SRP) to learn more.

Technology SupportAccess discounted software and online tutorials on a variety of topics, including Blackboard, Email, and TopNet. Assistance is available via live chat, phone, or by submitting an online help request.

Testing ServicesAll on-demand courses, and many semester-based web courses, require proctored exams. The DL Testing Center provides this service at locations around the world.
