EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!

PUT THIS HANDY GUIDE INTO PRACTICE AND HELP US TO DO EVEN BETTER!

Your Blue Mountains City Council waste service has been designed to increase recycling, reduce waste to landfill and meet the needs of the majority of our community.

As well as our regular kerbside collections we have many other waste and recycling services available.

This chart shows the annual amount to landfill from household garbage bins. As you can see, we’re heading in the right direction. The introduction of the new waste service in 2016, including the green bin, has successfully reduced waste to landfill by 30%.

30% REDUCTION SINCE 2016

The Blue Mountains is an area of outstanding natural beauty and supports a vast array of native plants and animals.

Disposing of your waste responsibly is one of the easiest things you can do to help protect our special environment.

Pouring chemicals down the drain can hurt wildlife like me. See page 14 for info on how to dispose of these safely.
