“THE CRY OF THE POOR”

RefrainThe Lord hears the cry of the poor.Blessed be the Lord.

1. I will bless the Lord at all times,with praise ever in my mouth.Let my soul glory in the Lord,who will hear the cry of the poor.

2. Let the lowly hear and be glad:the Lord listens to their pleas;and to hearts broken, God is near,who will hear the cry of the poor.

3. Ev’ry spirit crushed, God will save;will be ransom for their lives;will be safe shelter for their fears,and will hear the cry of the poor.

4. We proclaim your greatness, O God,your praise ever in our mouth;ev’ry face brightened in your light,for you hear the cry of the poor.

“LORD, YOU HAVE THE WORDS”

Refrain: Lord, you have the words of everlasting life.

1. The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul; the Lord's rule is to be trusted, the simple find wisdom.

2. The fear of the Lord is holy, abiding forever; the decrees of the Lord are true, all of them just.

3. The precepts of the Lord are right, they gladden the heart, the command of the Lord is clear, giving light to the eye.

4. They are worth more than gold, than the finest gold, sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.

1. Come, ring out our joy to the Lord. Hail the Rock who saves us.Let us come now before our God. With songs let us hail the Lord.

2. Come, let us bow and bend low.Let us kneel before God who made us,for he is our God, we the people, the flock that is led by God's hand.

3. O that today you would hear God's voice,"Harden not your hearts, as on that day in the dessert,when your parents put me to the test."

“TASTE AND SEE”

2. Who has fashioned the earth and sky,who created the deep,who exalts the lowlyand sets captives free,who opens the doorto all those who seek.

3. Oh, the love of God!Become flesh of our flesh,so that we might live in glory.

“LET US GO REJOICING”

RefrainLet us go rejoicing to the house of the Lord.

1. I rejoiced because they said to me,"We will go up to the house of the LORD."And now we have set foot within your gates,O Jerusalem.

2. A city built upon togetherness,unity is yours, O Jerusalem.And to it all of the tribes go up,the tribes of the LORD.

3. According to the decree for Israel,to give thanks to the name of the LORD.In it there are set up judgment seats,seats for the house of David.

4. Pray for peace in you, Jerusalem!May those who love you prosper and grow!And may peace prevail within your walls,prosperity in your buildings.

5. Because of friends and relatives I say, "Peace be always within you!"Because of this house of the LORD, our God,I will pray for your good.
