The International Association of Women Chefs & Restaurateurs (WCR), a nonprofit organization with a more than 25-year history, has a mission to advance women across the culinary industry through education, promotion, connection, and inspiration.

WCR’s inaugural Restaurant Guide showcases all of our member restaurants in Minnesota, the site of our 2019 National Conference and a burgeoning restaurant market. We are excited to offer up this resource to a fantastic food scene with a truly prolific number of women restaurant leaders – be it owner, chef, general manager, beverage director, or other key positions.

Whether you live in Minnesota or are visiting for the Conference, we hope you’ll take the opportunity to sample all that this market has to offer. Most of the descriptions herein are taken directly from the restaurants - we thought the restaurants themselves would be the best spokespeople for their hospitality and unique culinary offerings.

Enjoy!

Our motto is “Cooking with Integrity.” It means seasonal, local and organic ingredients are used whenever possible. Wake up with a pastry cream-filled brioche, savory caramelized onion and goat cheese tart or a créme fraiche-filled cake. Don’t forget to bring home a loaf of our house-made bread: baguettes, sourdough, and seeded wheat.

The cuisine is focused on the seasonality of the Midwest, the roots of the local culture and technically inspired by the French cuisine for which Chef Kaysen is known.
