The Minto name has been synonymous with quality and safety for more than 25 years in the manufacture of heavy duty, IP rated & explosion protected Restrained Plugs and Receptacles for harzardous area mining applications.

This product catalogue is a complete Restrained Plug and Receptacle information guide enabling selection of the correct Plugs, Receptacles and Accessories for the application and cable requirements.

The Minto Range is certifi ed / approved to comply with the specifi cations of Australian Standard AS1299.

Mining coupling systems are designed for a very demanding environment and are able to withstand the day to day harshness and eff ects of Coal and Metaliferous mining applications. To do this the mining plugs and receptacles form part of a system, which when coupled together creates a robust, Explosion protected connection.

The Restrained Range of products are used to monitor and supply power reticulation systems and mobile equipment such as Shuttle cars, Continuous Miners, Longwalls and Drill Rigs in Underground Coal and Metaliferous mines. The standard range of equipment is a 3 phase connector using a late make early break pilot connection for safety and has an earthed phase barrier for protection against interphase faults. Products designed to AS1299 are designed for a restricted earth fault system.
