What better way to celebrate the 5 year anniversary of the Park to Park Half Mara-thon than with fitness?!?! Thanks for your participation in the inaugural Draft 5K! Friday April 26 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Best Western Plus Inn & Conference Center

Saturday April 27 from 6:15 AM to 6:45 AM at Stuarts Draft Park

Directions to Best Western Inn & Conference Center

I-64 to Exit 94. At the top of the ramp, turn right onto Route 340 & follow to the intersection of Lew Dewitt Blvd. Turn left at the light onto Lew Dewitt Blvd. and continue to the first stop light. Turn left at this light onto Apple Tree Lane. Contin-ue straight ahead and the hotel is located on the right adjacent to Cracker Barrel. Still need help, call Best Western at 540-942-1100

Bussing to the start at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community ALL Draft 5K participants will park at Stuarts Draft Park and then be bussed to the start line which is located at Stuarts Draft Retire-ment Community. The first bus will leave at 6:45 AM and the last one at 7:15 AM. If you miss the bus, you miss the race!

Only 1 restroom is available at the starting line

Directions to Stuarts Draft Park—96 Edgewood Lane From I-64, take EXIT 94. Turn onto Route 340 South and head towards Stuarts Draft. Once on Route 340, continue driving straight, through Stuarts Draft for about 6 miles. After going through the stoplight at Hardee’s and Arby’s , you will then turn left onto Edgewood Lane. Stuarts Draft Park is all the way up and parking will be in the soccer fields just below the pool house.

RESTROOMS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE POOL HOUSE

Course Description: Start at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community Turn Left to go onto Patton Farm Rd Turn right to go onto Wayne Ave. (Aid station—just past the big red barn) Turn right onto Draft Ave by crossing through the intersection. Street will have a rolling closure with help from our friends at Area Wide Protective. Turn Left onto Edgewood Lane at Guy K. Stump Elementary School End at Stuarts Draft Park

The course is open to traffic so please use caution!

Awards & Finish Line: Once you have finished the race...relax in Stuarts Draft Park & enjoy some great food pro-vided by McAlister's Deli. To help us celebrate our 5th anniversary Little Walter & the Convictions will be kicking some tunes at the finish line…..dancing is encouraged if your legs are up for it. New this year…..Bagels & bananas not enough food for you?..order a spectacular boxed lunch from McAlister’s that will be waiting for you at the finish line….. $8.00 gets you a sandwich, chips, pickle and cookie…..great post race fuel. Race Bibs & Timing: Our friends at J&A Racing will be timing this event. Using the Chronotrack B-Tag system, you timing chip is affixed to your bib. Pin your bib on the front of the shirt you will be crossing the start & finish lines with. PLEASE ONLY CROSS THE FINISH LINE ONCE!!!
