COURSEWORK/TECHNICAL TRAINING

• Completion of mathematics courses through Differential Equations. • Basic knowledge of physics through the completion of a three course Physics with Calculus series.

Studied physics topics such as: kinematics, work and energy, gravitation, collisions, electric and magnetic fields, DC and AC circuits, electromagnetic waves, rotations and oscillations, superposition, sound and electromagnetic waves, reflection and refraction, interference and diffraction of light.

• Strong understanding of failure analysis and calculating internal forces (stress, stain, bending, combined loads, axial loading and torsion) by evaluating exterior loads acting on a system through courses such as Statics and Mechanics of Materials.

• Solid knowledge of materials and their molecular and mechanical properties through enrollment in Intro to Engineering Materials, Intro to Plastics Materials & Processes, Intro to Composites, and General Chemistry.

• Experience working with CATIA V5 in multiple different bench modes. o Familiar with building sketches to create 3 dimensional parts for engineered products. o Learned advanced CAD modeling techniques focusing on surface features to model metal solids and

composite parts. o Used CATIA to analyze internal forces acting in a structure given the material it is composed of. o Generated G&M coding for CNC machines using CATIA.

• Hands on experience with tooling on a lathe, mill and CNC machine to produce complex metal parts based on drawings provided with specific tolerances and dimensions through enrollment in an Intro to Manufacturing Processes class.

• Hands on experience molding thermoplastics using multiple different machines and techniques such as thermoforming, extruding and injection molding in Intro to Plastics Materials and Processes.

• Experience fabricating molds for composites products and producting composite parts using different lay-up procedures such as wet lay-up, vacuum assisted molding, infusion (VARTM), and spray up.

• A general understanding of engineering statistics, metrology, manufacturing processes and applications of six sigma that produce products of high quality for customers, utilizing lean methodologies and reducing waste in Quality Assurance and Engineering Statistics.

• Writing of programs in G&M code for CNC machines to read and produce parts through propper training in a CNC course. Completion of all graduation required courses such as humanities, comparitive gender, and communications classes.

• Analyzing circuits, solving for resistances, currents and voltages.

• One of the first 10 students to be accepted into the new competitive ME (Manufacturing Engineering) program at WWU – Winter of 2014.

• Refinishing wooden furniture. Preferably antiques from thrift shops. • Interior Design • Organizing and scrap booking photos of friends and family in an asthetically pleasing manner. • Playing sports such as basketball and dancing. • Playing the guitar and learning new songs from youtube.
