QBE is a European based Insurance Company which deals with Property, Casualty and Fleet/Motor policies. Development, Testing and Production support for various Policy and Claim Administration systems are the key services provided by Accenture. The QBE Testing tower provides testing services for different Policy and Claim related applications which are globally used like GENIUS, IRIS, RISYS, XIAP-Casualty, Enterprise Workflow, Oracle Financials, MCS-CRM and Legacy systems like DDR.

System Testing, Regression Testing, End to End testing, database testing were different types of testing done by the QBE Testing Tower.

The project helped me gain knowledge on the end to end process, starting from the Policy creation to the payment of claims.

Responsibilities:-

Requirement Analysis: - Analysed Business Requirements, Functional Documents and Business User requests and come up with high level test conditions and scenarios.

Test Preparation: - Prepared Test Scenarios, Test Scripts and Requirement Traceability Matrix for different releases.

Tools like Hexawise which is based on Orthogonal Array Testing Technique & Litmus which is an Accenture in-house tool were used during the Test Preparation phase which bought value add and reduced manual effort by 22% were implemented along with wide test coverage.

Manual Test Execution: - Executed test scenarios and scripts for various releases. Rational Quality Manager was used as a manual script repository and for tracking the test execution status.

Automation Test Execution: - Regression scripts for different applications were automated and executed using IBM Rational Functional Tester.

Defect Logging and Tracking: - IBM Rational Clear Quest was used for logging defects during the Test Execution process.

Defect Analysis: - Performed defect analysis at the end of each release with the help of Pareto Chart and Fish Bone analysis.

Bank of America is one of the leading players in the Global Financial Services Domain. Software testing service is one of the key services provided through the Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) of Accenture. The ISSP BAU and Interact are the teams that form the integral part of the Testing Centre of Excellence. ISSP BAU and Interact teams works on an application called Touchpoint which is used by all the bank customers and the business users across different geographical locations. Along with Functional Testing, End to End testing, Interface Testing, Database Testing & Back End Testing are also performed since this application interacts with many upstream and downstream applications which deals with Credit card transactions, cheque processing systems, Fixed Deposits and other investment banking systems. Interact team is involved in system testing activities for the bigger changes and process enhancements while the ISSP BAU is involved in testing the hot fixes, minor enhancements and regression testing for the Business As Usual activities.
