Employment History

Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) June 2015- Current Chief Operations Officer

• Establishment of NQPHN as an entirely new organization from inception; driving development to the current state of a high functioning primary health network, with a reputation for innovation, responsiveness and successful program delivery. Annual operating budget increased from ~$18.5M at inception, to current operating budget of ~$60M, with concurrent increase in staffing from less than 10 in July 2015 to ~100 positions by Feb 2017.

• Executive oversight and responsibility for all program delivery and commissioning for NQPHN; Commissioning solutions and programs in partnership with health service providers and other agencies to implement new and innovative models of care and/or service delivery to meet the population health indicators and Commonwealth Department of Health KPI’s.

• Development of organisational strategy, operational plans and systems to ensure alignment of activities within NQPHN and across external health agency partners. Development and brokerage of effective partnerships with GP’s, Pharmacists, Dentists, Allied Health professionals, Hospital and Health Services and other service providers to improve the identification, quality, access and performance of services with the region.

• Leadership, performance development and mentoring of geographically dispersed senior management team, fostering a culture of optimism, opportunity and high achievement in an environment of rapid growth and change; Implement and lead a continuous quality improvement process throughout the program and service areas, focusing on systems/process improvement.
