At MIG GROUP (Designation: Group CFO; Reporting to: CMD and Executive Director)
MIG group businesses consist of Garments manufacturing (as an OEM). A sustainable business
model with ambitious and steep growth plans. Established in 2004, its two manufacturing facilities
are located in Central Java and reputed customers accross US and Europe.
1. Sustained and protect the interest of stakeholders in adverse conditions, including the
employment of 5000+ workmen.
AT SONA GROUP (Designation: Group CFO; Reporting to: Chairman and Vice Chairman)
Sona group is a manufacturing conglomerate in auto sector with 3 business verticals comprising of
‘Precision forgings businesses’, ‘Steering systems and axle assembly businesses’, and ‘Propeller shaft
business’. The group turnover for F 14 aggregated at USD 800 million, with about 50% from
overseas operations.
1. Revived the Sheet metal business for the group, of strategic importance. Lead the initiative
as a corporate resource and later as the Chairman of the board. Prepared a growth strategy
for the business with a cross functional team.
2. Planned and executed prepayment of expensive debt. Negotiated and made the existing
lender accept prepayment and cedes pari passu charge to new lender, the asset cover being
<1. The fresh borrowing negotiated at attractive terms and a very competitive rate.
3. Remodeled Euro 100 million debt portfolio for a business vertical, contracted at India,
Germany and the US, overcoming the challenges of security sharing, financial covenants,
cash flow and repayment obligation among institutions. This lead to cost reduction, release
of shareholders guarantees to the banks and avoid conversion clauses of the existing debt.
4. Ensure availability of optimum working capital facility from banks at all time and anticipate
change in business requirement for a year in advance. Continuously explore opportunities for
cost reduction and funding with existing and new bankers.
5. Planned and implemented strategic exit from a non-core business. The business was a drag
on the finances and continously accruing liability. Explored all possible exit options, including
revival and sell off for the business, before structuring a clear exit from the business.
AT PT JINDAL STAINLESS INDONESIA (Designation: GM Finance; Reporting to: President
Director)
Subsidiary of Jindal Stainless Limited a USD 2 billion company for Stainless steel manufacturing,
part of leading Steel conglomerate – Jindal Group from India. Facility for cold rolling of stainless
steel at Gresik, East Java (Near Surabaya). Established by takeover of loss making facility from
Maspion Group in 2005
1. Financial closure of expansion project to double the capacity of Stainless Steel cold rolling
mill to 150,000 MT per annum at Indonesia
2. Lead the introduction and smooth switch over to SAP ERP in the organization in 5 months,
and established an all-inclusive MIS system.
3. Trained, guided and motivated team of 35 to achieve excellence, in Finance, PPIC, Finished
Goods Store, Dispatch, Stores and Purchase.
AT COSMO FILMS LIMITED (Designation: DGM; Reporting to: CEO)
A packaging and lamination solutions company with multi national operations. Large manufacturer of
oriented and thermal films with a turnover of over USD 200 million
1. Acquisition and amalgamation of the operations of the closest competitor into the company.
