    EDUCATION

Graduate diploma in Engineering Management July 2010- Dec 2010

RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia Attained distinction averageMasters of International Automotive Engineering Feb2009- July 2010

    RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia

    Attained credit average

Bachelor of technology in Mechanical Engineering July 2004- Aug2008

Regency institute of technology, Yanam, India Attained distinction average

    EMPLOYMENT

Research Assistant Multi-Body Dynamics at RMIT University Feb 2011- Mar 2012

School of Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering (SAMME), RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia

    Responsibilities

Assisted in developing mathematical algorithm and programmed it to a vehicle to drive by itself/selfdriven.

Derived various mathematical equations for various critical road conditions with conjunction to the reactionof tires.

Formulated theoretical complex vehicle dynamic conditions to make it more suitable to real worldscenarios.

Successful in implementing the integration of sensors, actuators and various electronic devices to a vehicleprototype. Tested and studied the response time of vehicle for the given inputs through National instruments(NI) software.

Simulated and interpreted various road conditions and real world scenarios (vehicles reaction if in case ofany obstruction) through maple for the finest possible solutions.

Coordinated, developed extensive literature review for academic journal publication.Achievements

Acknowledged as the innovative student project for 2010 by SAMME, RMIT University Excelled in deriving and integrating simple mathematical algorithm to various electronic devices on a vehicle,

and achieved an outstanding response time of 0.5 millisecond with minimal use of technology.

Project trainee at Regency ceramics limited, (RCL India ) Aug 2007- May 2008

(Co-operative placement between the university and the Industry, unpaid internship)

    Responsibilities

Assisted in conducting work and motion study on production lines, identified the root cause of major delaysand wastage during the production of tiles.

Our team established and executed proper work techniques to the workers in the line to reduce the effort ofworking during the operation and to minimize the time taken to carry that operation.

Recorded the operation of entire production (conveyor belt 1) line using motion capture camera to interpretimproper work techniques.

Summarized and documented the recorded data using pictorial representation emphasizing the areas to beconcentrated or revised for effective work pattern.

Proposed a redesign of a conveyor belt, from tile set up stage to until the tile passes the oven where enormousamount of time is consumed.

Analyzed and interpreted the recorded data for optimized conveyor belt design with minimum lead-time,and finalized CAD drawing for the entire production line.

    Achievements

As a token of appreciation for the effort of making a successful project, Regency Ceramics Limited awardedus with a cash prize.

Utilizing the techniques of time and motion study helped us enormously to minimize the lead-time of 0.47sec for each cycle of operation, resulted in faster production with cost effective solution .

Redesign of conveyor belt helped to minimize the lead-time by 26% there by increased the production andalso eliminated the requirement of a new production line.
