Description

This product is the ‘next generation Meter’ in the Indian Metering industry. The SMART Meter will be a part of the Automated Metering Infrastructure, a part of the SMART Grid. Smart Metering involves the installation of an intelligent Meter at the customer premises which can:

Provide almost real time data about the energy consumption/tamper data,

Remotely connect/disconnect Mains supply owing to non-payment of bill or tamper,

Read other commodity meters, Communicate with SMART devices through HDU in the

consumer premises. The SMART meter has a dedicated communication link with the utility called LAN and another dedicated communication link called Home Area Network (HAN) for establishing communication with the HDU

Role & Contribution

Role : Hardware Designer Contribution: Hardware Design of SMPS, RS232 Communication module. Perform EMI-EMC Testing of energy meters as per IEC standards Analysis of logs taken during EMI-EMC Testing, identifying defects,

and debugging them. Design of voltage converters and Analog circuits.
