PPROJECTROJECT D DESCRIPTIONESCRIPTION::

Unified Inforce System: UIS is the main source of Eligibility details provided for

clients and other applications. Eligible employee details processed in UIS such details include the

customer details and employee details. Employee details are stored in VSAM file called inforce. Also

called as the original copy or gold copy. The VSAM files are divided into 22 segments due to huge

number of records. There are several ways in which the employee details processed includes

employee details sent by the customer, using self-web services by the certificate holders. Because of

processing the input files sent by the customer involves several formats. We should accept all the

customer formats to process the inforce file. There are two types of processing in inforce file full

population and change population. In full population, all the input details are sent by the customer

including old details and changed details. In change population, only changed input details are sent by

the customer.

UIS Modernization: In modernization, we are changed the data storage from 24K to 400K to

maximize the storage. In 24K format the data stored in single dimension. In 400k we divided data into

five different blocks and it stored in table format for efficient access. So all 24K related modules

converted to new 400K logic.

ensured the quality of all deliverables.
