After my 40-Day Spiritual Journey to A More Generous Life book became an unexpected bestseller, I was contacted by NBC to do a TV news story. When the TV reporter interviewed me, she asked, "So, you think God wants everyone to be rich?" "No," I replied, "I don't believe that." The reporter was a little surprised by my answer. "Well, what do you believe?" "I believe that everyone needs to learn to become more generous with whatever God has given them." She then asked, "Well, didn't your bestselling book make you rich?" "No," I replied, "it helped me become more generous! The truth is that everyone of us in America is rich when you compare us to the rest of the world. What each of us needs to learn is how to become more generous with whatever God entrusted to us."

Could it be that God wants to increase your standard of living so you can increase your standard of giving?

Sat, April 26, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM - Our Seventh Annual Boston Shines Day.

On the second and fourth Sundays join us as we minister and fellowship at St Joseph’s Nursing Home (every 2nd) and The Boston Home (every 4th). Come be blessed with a word from Lic. Jacobi Cunningham at The Boston Home April 27th.. For further information contact Rev. Jumi Onatunde (617-515-0902)

Sat, Apr 26, 8:30 AM to 3: 00 PM - Bethel’s Women's Ministry invites you to join with us and other activists and institutions throughout the country in recogni-tion of Sexual Assault Awareness Month as we host a free workshop titled Shat-ter The Silence. Shatter the Silence is an interactive workshop filled with videos, activities, testimonies, and discussion. The goal of the workshop is to raise aware-ness and explore prevention and response efforts regarding sexual violence against girls and women. Representatives from the Boston Area Rape Crisis Cen-ter (BARCC), My Life My Choice (MLMC), and the Boston Police Department (BPD) will participate as speakers, panelists, and presenters for the day. This event is open to girls and women, ages 13 to older adults, respectively. Bring your mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, godmother, and best friend. Some of us know the story of sexual violence, and as a community of women, all of us are vulnerable. There will be an optional breakfast served at 8:30am, and the program will begin promptly at 9:00am. Lunch will also be provided. To attend the workshop, please register at: http://shatterthesilencewithbethelame.eventbrite.com . For more information or ques-tions, please contact Sis. Shavonne Moore, [email protected].
