Uniters Light Coloured Leather Care KitLight coloured leather needs extra care and protection. One of the most common problems associated with light coloured leathers is dye transfer. Regular protection products can’t adequately protect leather from dye transfer and regular cleaning products can’t remove it. Leather Barrier provides superb protection, stopping the vast majority of dye transfer. Any transfer that does occur is easily removed with Colour Transfer Remover.

Leather Barrier

Water-based protection from water, alcohol and oil-based stains

Shield your furniture with Leather Protection Cream. This water-based protection product works by placing an invisible, breathable barrier between you and your furniture. Leather Protection Cream helps to prevent soiling and guards your furniture from water, oil and alcohol-based stains. No product can provide 100% protection, but Leather Protection Cream prevents the majority of soiling and stains, and makes those stains that do occur easier to remove.

Protects against: Water, alcohol and oil-based stains

Reapplication: Every 3-6 months, or after cleaning with a leather cleaner

Suitable for: Pigmented, aniline and pull-up leathers

Coverage: 250 ml will treat approximately 35-45 seats/each wipe will treat approximately 2-3 seats

TIPS: Leather Protection Cream does not need to be applied thickly, a thin coat applied to the contact areas (seats, headrests, footrests, armrest etc) is all that is required. For light coloured leathers or leather that receives heavy use, we recommend applying two thin coats – allow to dry between coats.

Water-based protection from dye and print transfer

Leather Barrier is designed to protect light coloured leather and vinyl from dye and print transfer. Nothing can provide 100% protection against dye transfer, but Leather Barrier will prevent the vast majority of transfer stains and make any that do occur easier to remove. Leather Barrier provides some protection against water, oil and alcohol-based stains, but for added protection we recommend applying Leather Protection Cream before applying Leather Barrier.

Coverage: 1 litre will treat approximately 140-180 seats (coverage will vary depending on the absorbency of the leather)

Because it is so susceptible to staining, it is very important to protect nubuck leather. Nubuck Eco Protector is a water-based protector specifically designed for nubuck and other sensitive leathers. Eco Protector provides excellent protection against oil, water and alcohol based stains. Eco Protector will also reduce general soiling. Nothing can provide 100% protection against soiling and stains, but protected leather is always easier to clean.

Ink StopWater-based protection from ink, dye transfer and common stains

Ink marks are one of the most difficult stains to remove from leather. Most leather protection products cannot protect leather from ink marks, Ink Stop can. Ink Stop not only creates a protective barrier against ink, it also helps to protect leather from general soiling and common stains, including dye transfer. If used in the recommended frequency cycles, Ink Stop will prevent up to 80% of ink marks.

Protects against: Ink stains, dye transfer, general soiling, and water oil and alcohol -based stains.

Reapplication: Every 3 months, or after cleaning with a leather cleaner.

Suitable for: Pigmented leather, oil pull-up leather and vinyl.

Coverage: 250 ml will treat approximately 25-35 seats/one wipe will treat approximately 1-2 seats.

TIPS: Because of Ink Stop’s friction reducing properties, it can be applied to oil pull-up leathers to help prevent scratch marks. It will also help prevent light scratching on pigmented leather. Ink Stop provides some protection from dye transfer, however for superior protection against dye transfer we recommend Leather Barrier. Ink Stop should not be applied thickly, we recommend applying two thin coats – allow to dry between coats.

Revitalising agent for waxed leathers

Waxed leathers need to be revitalised occasionally to maintain their waxed finish. Wax On is designed to restore the look and feel of wax leathers, and provide added protection against stains. It is also an excellent remedy for mild scratch marks and light fading.


Suitable for: Wax pull-up leather

Coverage: 250 ml will treat approximately 30-40 seats (coverage will vary depending on the absorbency of the leather)

Protective revitalising agent for oiled leathers

Oleosa revitalises oiled leathers. Oiled leathers need to be re-oiled occasionally to maintain their unique characteristics. Oleosa is made from fat liqueurs similar to those originally used to create the leather’s unique oiled look and feel. Oleosa will give the leather a soft, oily touch. Not only does it have excellent water proofing properties, it also contains protective agents that improve the leather’s resistance to soiling and staining.



Suitable for: Oil pull-up leather

Coverage: 250 ml will treat approximately 25-35 seats (coverage will vary depending on the absorbency of the leather)

Feel agent for pigmented leather

Leather Vital is used to improve the feel of the leather. Leather Vital gives leather a soft, supple feel without affecting its breathability. Leather Vital can be used to improve the surface feel of old leathers. It can also be used to stop the squeaking that occurs in motion furniture when leather rubs against leather.

Please note, this product improves the surface feel or “hand” of the leather, but it is not a leather conditioning or softening product.

Suitable for: Pigmented leather

This product should not be used on bycast, vinyl or imitation leather.

Leather Odour Remover removes unpleasant odours from leather. It is not a perfume, it doesn’t work by masking odours, its powerful enzyme based formula neutralises the odours at their source. Best results are achieved 24-48 hours after application

Wipe with CLEANER and remove with a clean cloth. Treatment can be repeated if necessary.

In cases of deep damage or highly absorbent surfaces, apply PRE-BOTTOM W with a cloth to avoid hardening of the leather and to improve adhesion.

3. COAT

Read the colour with SHERLOCK SENSOR and look for similar colours through our online database. Mix SHERLOCK colours as suggested and fine tune the formula to match the exact colour. Apply the colour mix with cloth, then add 5-10% of THINNER and spray several coats until the coverage is uniform. Always dry between coats. The colour can also be used as a filler when thickened with 2-5% of THICKENER; in this case apply the colour mix with a spatula.

4. TOPCOAT

Use TOP GLOSS, TOP MATT or a mix of both to match the required sheen. For optimum adhesion, add 2-5% of HARDENER TA to the topcoat and spray two layers on to the repaired area.

Dye Transfer CleanerDye Transfer Cleaner removes tough pigment and dye-based stains such as dye and print transfer. Dye Transfer Cleaner uses the latest advancements in cleaning technology to gently draw stains to the surface of the leather, where they can be easily removed . This ensures that Dye Transfer Cleaner is not only highly effective on stains, but it is also gentle on leather. After removing the stain with Dye Transfer Cleaner you will need to remove any residue using Soft Cleaner or Strong Cleaner. Please note, this product should not be used on dark coloured leather.
