Blood driveMark your calendars for the next blood drives:

May 17 Aug. 9 Nov. 29

Volunteers are a necessary part of our blood drives. Here’s why. They:

• Work from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.• Staff the registration table and canteen area.• Check in the pre‑registered donors.• Ensure donors have the required Red Cross

reading material.• Give donors a number and direct them to the

waiting area. • Make reminder phone calls if donors don’t appear

for their appointment (sometimes people just forget or need to cancel).

• Give donors juice or water and a snack in the canteen area.

• Ask donors if they would like to pre‑register for the next blood drive and choose a time slot that meets their schedule.

Our heartfelt thanks to Jeanette Mullins, Linda Reed, Stan Chiotti and Bob Steele for volunteering at these blood drives for years. And we welcome our newest volunteer, Jim Rodman!
