076 In tender drawing 93200-5.10-4-BRD-02002 it is stated in the note that the permanently required vertical clearance for the
underpasses is 2,8 m. However MR DBS01-0-21.2-020 states that the vertical clearance should be minimum 4,4 m across
the full width and length of the underpasses. It is understood that the MR is applicable. Please confirm.
As part of the contact for demolition of the existing Storstrøm bridge the underpassing road
will be transformed into a path. The 2.8 m clearance indicated on the drawing refers to this
future situation.

077 In tender drawing 93200-5.10-4-BRD-02002 section A-A shows a road level of +4,659 m and a top level of the bridgedeck
of +3,859 m. Deck thickness is given to 500 mm which calculates to a level of +3,359 m at the underside of the bridgedeck.
Section C-C states a level of +3,256 m at the underside of the bridgedeck which calculates to a deck thickness of 603 mm if
level +3,859 m on top of the bridgedeck is correct.
Further section B-B shows a level on top of the rail bridge of +3,989 m and a deck thickness of 600 mm which calculates to
a level of +3,389 m at the underside of the bridgedeck. In section C-C the underside edges of the bridge is given to level
+3,373 m and +3,431 m respectively. This calculates to a level of +3,402 m compared to section B-B, assuming that the
underside of the bridgedeck is straight.
Please clarify the levels and deck thicknesses for the underpasses.
The levels for the railway and overpassing road shall adhere to DBS01 and as illustrated in rail
and road alignment drawings.
The deck thickness in the design shall be determined by the Contractor.
Requirements to vertical clearance is specified in DBS01.
The Contractor shall determine the level of the underpassing road.
As for the levels indicated in the drawings the Contractor shall perceive those as illustrative
only. Document list and section 1.4 in SAB01 is updated to show that these drawings are non-
contractual. Please refer to this Correction Sheet, group “01 Dokumentliste / Document List”
and group "11 Særlige Arbejdsbeskrivelser (SAB) / Special Works Specifications (SWS)".
09 Yes
078 In SAB70, item SAB70-0-2.2-180 it is stated: "20% spare capacity shall be allocated for future expansion. The spare
capacity shall be evenly distributed in switchboards and panels".
Please clarify how "evenly distributed in switchboards and panel" is achieved.
It is valid for outgoing circuits in each switchboard. If there are e.g. 10 circuits 10A used, than 2
extra circuits shall be added as spare capacity.
09 No
079 In SAB70, item SAB70-0-2.2-510 it is stated: "All terminals shall be designed for wires at least one size larger than the cable
dimension.".
Please clarify why the terminals shall be a size bigger than the dimension of the wires of the connecting cable.
In order to have sufficient space for wiring in the future. 09 No
080 SAB 16, item 1.1-010, item 2.2-040 and item 3.8-010. It is good common practice to proceed with bound material above a
concrete slab. Could it be accepted to have a cement stabilised gravel as a substitute to a concrete slab?
Cement stabilized gravel as a substitution for a concrete slab is not allowed. 09 No

081 In Design Basis 01, item DBS01-0-13.1-140, it is stated that the Contractor shall design the road and railway drainage in
order to avoid any risk of damaging the road and railway installations due to flooding or any other impact cause by
extreme rain events. Could "road and rail way installations" as well as "extreme rain events" be defined more precisely.
This tender query will be addressed as soon as possible.
082 In SAB12, item SAB12-0-2.4-040, it is stated that sand traps in gullies shall at least be 80 litres. In SAB12, item SAB12-0-2.4-
200, only 0.5 m is required for sand trap manholes of plastic. For a ø425mm manholes/gullies 0.5 m sand trap gives
approx. 70 L sand trap. Please clarify this?
Please refer to this Correction Sheet, group "11 Særlige Arbejdsbeskrivelser (SAB) / Special
Works Specifications (SWS)" and group "17 Serviceoversættelser / Service Translations”.
09 Yes
083 In Design Basis 01, item DBS01-0-13.1-210, it is stated that all existing drainage systems which will be cut off by the
project, have to be drained through the new system. Could it be accepted that all existing drainage systems will be
connected to the most appropriate system rather than simply the new system?
Deviation from DSB01-013.1-210 is not accepted. 09 No
084 In SAB12, item SAB12-0-2.4-050, it is stated that sand traps in trough manholes shall at least be 160 litres. In SAB12, item
SAB12-0-2.4-200, only 0,5 m is required for sand trap manholes of plastic. For a ø600mm manhole 0,5 m sand trap gives
approx. 140 L sand trap. Please clarify which of the two requirements that should be followed?
Reference is made to the reply to query 082. 09 Yes
085 In SAB12, item SAB12-0-5.1-060 and SAB12-0-5.1-070, it is stated that the contractor can choose between two alternatives
for discharging water from part of the bridge (closest to the coastlines). In DSB01, item DSB01-0-13.2-040, it is stated that
all water closest to the coastlines, has to be collected and no alternatives are given. Which of the requirements should be
followed?
This tender query will be addressed as soon as possible.
086 In DBS01 Design Basis section A.3.5 Document "Design Basis - Geotechncial" COWI March 2016 doc. No. 93200-DBS-EN-
01009 is mentioned. This document is not part of the tender package. Should the reference be "DBS 02 - Design Basis -
Geotechnical" Vejdirektoratet, Juli 2016?
The correct reference is DBS 02 - Design Basis - Geotechnical. Please refer to this Correction
Sheet, group “09 Grundlag / Design Basis”.
09 Yes
087 DBS01-0-3.2-310 describes 'Unplanned/disregarded load effects'. This is difficult to make allowance for in the design.
Could the Employer please elaborate on the nature of these load effects?
The Contractor and the Contractor´s Designer shall define "unplanned/disregarded load
effects" and demonstrate that, should they occur, they will not cause disproportionate
damage to key elements. As an example, it might be found that a sudden closure of an
expansion joint will not cause severe damage to a key element in which case it is acceptable to
disregard this load effect. Should it cause disproportionate damage, the solution might be to
introduce a simple rubber element to eliminate the dynamic effect of the closing.
09 No
088 DBS01-0-5.4-080 states 'Discrete point loads from possible signage and signalling program shall be assessed and/or
catered for and included in the Design'. The nature of these loads must be provided by the Employer for them to be
included in the design. Please provide the exact loads to be included.
The loads are currently not determined by the Employer and/or relevant stakeholders. For this
reason the bidder may assume that the load effect merely has very local impact on the
member of the structure under consideration and will not have any impact on the global load
pattern.

092 SAB01-0-3.8-510 currently states that changes in design will need to be submitted through the validation process. Surely
the intention of this statement is to say that all significant changes in design, or similar, are to be submitted. Please clarify
as the current statement will lead to significant delays in approvals.
This tender query will be addressed as soon as possible.
093 SAB02-0-2.4-010 What is meant by "when the design package is available". Is this to be interpreted as when the package
has been validated? Please clarify.
The Contractor is free to decide when the package is available. 09 No
094 SAB41-0-3.7-010 is not clear regarding the requirements for and the intended extent of cathodic protection. The
relaxation of the restriction on welding is not consistent with PMR SAB41-0-1.2-010, please clarify.
Electrical continuity shall be applied as preparation for future installation of cathodic
protection when and if such measure is deemed necessary to prolong the service life of the
structure.
The note regarding welding in SAB41-0-1.2-010 pertain to welding of rebars ensuring
structural load transfer.

114 SAB01-A01, 3.2.4 PMR, relative to Horizontal dimensions. Could the dimension 1.889 m be changed to 1.839 m, as the
drawings in ILD show for the cross section? -> 1.888 + 1.682 + 2.125 = 5.695 vs 5.646 m (acceptable); 2.125 + 1.645 + 1.889
+ 0.55 + 0.700 + 3.500 + 0.400 = 10.809 vs 10.757 m. Are the red values acceptable? Please advise.
The measurement in SAB01-A01, 3.2.4 PMR is corrected. Please refer to this Correction Sheet,

116 DBS01-0-7.7-020 PMR relative to failure on the bearings. In the direction perpendicular to the bridge alignment, the
bearing relative displacement limits exceeds 0.3 times the diameter of the calotte for a spherical bearing. What does DRD
mean with this criteria? Does it mean relative displacement between the upper and the lower part of the spherical
bearing, that is, there would be big relative vertical displacement associated to the horizontal relative displacement?
Yes. This means the relative horizontal displacement between the upper and the lower part of
the bearing.
A potential vertical displacement of the superstructure shall not be accounted for.

125 DBS01-0-13.1-360 MR. The infiltration basins shall be designed as oblong "ditch basins". The basins shall function as
infiltration basins, enabling the water to infiltrate into the underground as far as possible, and with controlled overflow to
the receivers. Outlets from the basins shall be installed with gate valve which makes it possible to close the outlet in case
of spillages or similar events. We ask DRD to reconsider the function of the basins, as the actual Bottom elevations
indicated for the basins are below ground water level, ref DBS02-A12-Overview-Geotech, section 9, this is why those
basins will never work as infiltration basing, please advise

126 SAB70-0-2.3-360 MR states: The lighting shall comply with following minimum values at the floor/stairs level according to
EN 12464-1§5.5.1. The numbers in the table in the SAB are not in accordance with the reference. The correct table in
EN12464-1 §5.1.1 for stairs and escalators is 150 lx as average illumination, 0.40 uniformity, and 25 UGR. For circulation
areas and corridors the requirement is 100 lx as average illumination, 0.40 uniformity, and 28 UGR. 150 lx is additional
required if there are vehicles on the route. DBS01-0-14.5-020 MR. The distance from centreline of the track to the bridge
railing shall be 3,500 mm, measured along TOR-plane as shown in BN1-59-4, figure 9.2.1-1 (distance reduced from 4,000
mm to 3,500 mm based on dispensation ID443). BN1-59-4, figure 9.2.1-1. Required distance from BN1-59 can be reduced
from 4,000 mm to 3,000 mm based on approval from Banedanmark. This seems to be possible, if the speed is reduced to
120 km/t, when there is maintenance people walking on the platform. Please gently advise if the distance from centreline
of the track to the bridge railing shall be at least 3.0 mm, measured along TOR-plane as shown in BN1-59-4, figure 9.2.1-1.
