2. ASSEMBLY

To obtain better user experience the device must be clamped on the

edge of the table. It can be done in two ways: On the table or protruding

from the table.

• Remove the two front rubber feet from the bottom of TQ3. (According

to Figure A of the assembly mounting.)

• Attach the clamping jaw (3) to the TQ3 with the screws (2) provided.

• Depending on which position you want to set the device on the table,

you can attach the clamping jaw to the bottom of device (Figure A) or

at the rear part (Figure B).

• Place the TQ3 on the table in a way that the clamping jaw can be fixed.

• Tighten the clamping jaw screw until the device stays firmly fixed.

Adjusting the lever’s hardness

If you want you can adjust the lever’s hardness tightening the wheel

located on the right side of the device.

Once you have adjusted the knob, move the 3 levers all the way at the

same time, from top to bottom, at least 10 times (D). This operation is

necessary to distribute adequately the same strength in the 3 levers.

• Double click on device “VirtualFly – TQ3” that appears in the list or

click “Properties”.

3. CALIBRATION ON WINDOWS

• Go to device configuration of Windows:

• Press the “Windows Key” + R to open the run window and type

“joy.cpl” as you can see in the picture and press “Enter”.

For a proper operation of TQ3 on Microsoft Flight Simulator (hereafter “MFS”)

- Prepar3D and X-PLANE, prior calibration in the “Game Controllers” section is

required.

• Click on “Configuration” tab and press de “Calibrate” button.

• Follow the steps taking care of the following:

• When prompted “X rotation” you must move the “Power” lever

from minimum (including lower limit REV) to maximum, several

times.

• When prompted “Y rotation” you must move the “Prop RPM”

lever from minimum (including lower limit FTH) to maximum

,several times.

• When prompted “Z rotation” you must move the “Mixture” le-

ver from minimum (including lower limit CUTOFF) to maximum

,several times.

• Once calibration is completed, go to the “Test” tab to check the co-

rrect operation. The bars X, Y, Z show you the current physical lever

position. Click on “Apply” and “Accept”.

• Click “Ok” on the game devices configuration window.

4. CONFIGURATION

The user has two options in order to set the TQ3 with MFS-Prepar3D:

• Using MFS-Prepar 3D menu : This is the common procedure in order

to set any control device or joystick. (See 4.1.)

• Using the “VF-Test&Calibrate” control panel (recommended): “VF-

Test&Calibrate” is a control panel that links Virtual-Fly devices with

MFS-Prepar 3D. Is an alternative of the “Using MFS-Prepar3D menu” or

Modules\FSUIPC menu, which provides a greater sensitivity, precision

and customization. (See 4.2.)

• Click on the “Control axes” tab and select “VirtualFly – TQ3” on the

dropdown list.

• Select “Engine 1 mixture axis” in the list and press “Change

assignment”.

• From the main MFS-Prepar 3D splash screen, choose the “Settings”

option and click on the “Controls” button.

• Check that “Enable controller(s)” option is activated.

Requirements

• FSUIPC add-on for MFS or Prepar3D.

FSUIPC Installation

If you already have FSUIPC installed in your MFS-Prepar3D you can skip

this step.

• Go to the “FSUIPC” folder from the memory stick provided with TQ3.

• Execute the setup program according to your MFS version (FSX-

Prepar3D or FS2004).

• When the installer asks about registering, Click on “Not now”.

• When the “Change assignment” screen appears, move the Mixture

lever until it appears in the textbox, then click "OK".

• Repeat the process with "Engine 1 propeller Axis" and "Engine 1

Throttle Axis" with the corresponding levers.

4.2. CONFIGURATION USING “VF-Test&Calibrate” CONTROL PANEL

HUncheck “Enable Controller” to completely deactivate the device

management.

If you have more than one device and you prefer to deactivate

individually, you can do this in “Control Axes” tab and deleting the

configured assignments.

Executing VF-Test&Calibrate control panel

Go to “VF-Test&Calibrate” folder located in the memory stick delivered

with the TQ3.

Copy “VF-Test&Calibrate.exe” to Desktop (or in a folder that you prefer in

your computer), and execute it.

Previous configuration

If you want to use the “VF-Test&Calibrate” control panel, you must pre-

viously deactivate the joysticks control integrated in MSF – Prepar3D. To do

this go to “Settings” and press de “Controls” button.

Using the "VF-Test&Calibrate" control panel

Select device

Click on “TQ3” tab.

At the left column you will see the TQ3 devices that are connected to

the computer. If you want to use it, you must select one of them and click

“Save Current Configuration”.

If everything is working correctly, you will see the bars moving while you

move the levers.

5. CONFIGURATION ON X-PLANE 10

The TQ3 is compatible with X-Plane but you won’t be able to use the

Reverse, Feather and Cut-off functions. The Throttle, Propeller and

Mixture will function normally.

• Move all the levers to its upper position.

• Execute X-Plane. Once is loaded, if a window appears prompting you

“select plane”, proceed loading a flight.

• Click on “Settings” at the top bar and then “Joystick and equipment”

as you can see in the picture.

Axis assignment

• In the dialog box that appears, choose the “Axis” tab.

• Slide the power lever to “Power” zone (above the “REV” zone). Move

the lever up and down all over the “power” zone, without reaching

the “REV” zone.

• One of the bars should move. Change the action corresponding to

that bar to “Throttle”.

• Repeat the process with the “Prop RPM” lever. And when you see the

bar moving, assign to it the action “Prop”. Remember to move the le-

ver only across the “Prop RPM” zone, without reach the “FTH” zone.

• Finally, repeat the process with the “Mixture” lever and assign to it the

action “Mixture".

2. MONTAJE

Para una experiencia de uso satisfactoria el TQ3 debe fijarse en el bor-

de de la mesa. Puede fijarse con la mordaza suministrada, de dos mo-

dos: Encima de la mesa o sobresaliendo de la mesa.

• Desenrosque con la mano las 2 patas de goma de la parte inferior

frontal del TQ3. (Sólo para el montaje según la Figura A.)

• Con los tornillos (2) suministrados fije la mordaza de sujeción (3) al

TQ3, con la llave allen (suministrada).

• Puede colocar la mordaza por la parte de debajo del TQ3 si desea

colocarlo encima de la mesa (Figura A), o por la parte de atrás si de-

sea que sobresalga (Figura B).

• Coloque el TQ3 de forma que la mordaza pueda sujetarse a la mesa

• Apriete el tornillo de la mordaza hasta que el dispositivo quede firme.

Ajuste la dureza de las palancas

Si lo desea, puede ajustar la dureza de las palancas girando el pomo

situado en el lateral derecho del dispositivo (C).

Una vez ajustado el pomo, mueva todo el recorrido de las 3 palancas

a la vez, desde el tope superior hasta el inferior, al menos 10 veces

(D). Esta operación es necesaria para repartir adecuadamente la misma

dureza a las 3 palancas.

3. CALIBRACIÓN DEL TQ3 EN WINDOWS

• Conectar el TQ3 al puerto USB del ordenador.

• Acceder a la configuración de dispositivos de Windows. Para ello:

• Pulse “tecla Windows” + R y en la ventana escriba “joy.cpl”, como

aparece en la imagen, y pulse “Aceptar” (Ok).

• Haga doble click en el dispositivo “VirtualFly – TQ3” que aparece en la

ventana de Dispositivos de juego o pulse en “Propiedades” (Properties).

Para el correcto funcionamiento del TQ3 en Microsoft Flight Simulator (de ahora

en adelante “MFS”) – Prepar3D y X-PLANE, es necesaria una calibración previa

en la sección “Dispositivos de juego” de Windows.

• Seleccione la pestaña “Configuración” y pulse el botón “Calibrar”.

• Siga los pasos teniendo en cuenta lo siguiente:

• Cuando le pida “Rotación X”, deberá mover la palanca

“Power” hasta los extremos, llegando incluso al límite inferior

“REV”.

• Cuando le pida “Rotacion Y” deberá mover la palanca “Prop

RPM” hasta los extremos, llegando incluso al límite inferior

“FTH”.

• Cuando le pida “Rotacion Z” deberá mover la palanca

“Mixture” hasta los extremos, llegando incluso al límite inferior

“CUTOFF”.

• Al finalizar en la pestaña “Prueba” (Test) podrá comprobar el correcto

funcionamiento. Verá las tres barras: “X”, “Y” y “Z” acabadas de con-

figurar. Pulsar “Aplicar” (Apply) y “Aceptar” (Ok).

• Pulsar “Ok” en la ventana de Dispositivos de juego.

4. CONFIGURACIÓN

El usuario tiene dos opciones para configurar el TQ3 con MFS-Prepar3D:

• A través de los menús de configuración de MFS-Prepar3D: Este es el

procedimiento habitual para configurar cualquier dispositivo de control

o joystick. (Ver 4.1.)

• A través del panel de control “VF-Test&Calibrate” (recomendado):

“VF-Test&Calibrate” es un panel de control que hace de enlace entre

los dispositivos de Virtual-Fly y MFS-Prepar3D. Este panel de control es

una alternativa a “los menús de MFS-Prepar3D” y a FSUIPC, aportando

un control más preciso y personalización del dispositivo. (Ver 4.2.)

• Haga click en la pestaña “Control de ejes” y seleccione VirtualFly –

TQ3 en el desplegable.

• Seleccione “Engine 1 mixture axis” en la lista y presione “Cambiar

asignación”.

• En la ventana principal de MFS-Prepar3D, ir a la sección

“Configuración”, y en “Opciones”, haga clic en “Controles”.

• Verificar que la opción “Habilitar mandos” esté activada.

4.1. CONFIGURACIÓN A TRAVÉS DE LOS MENÚS MFS-Prepar3D

Requerimientos

• Módulo FSUIPC para MFS o Prepar3D.

Instalación de FSUIPC

(En caso de tener ya instalado FSUIPC en su MFS-Prepar3D puede omi-

tir este paso.)

Ir a la carpeta “FSUIPC” del pendrive suministrado con el TQ3.

• Ejecutar el instalador correspondiente con la versión de MFS de su

equipo (FS2004, FSX o Prepar3D).

• Cuando pregunte para registrar, seleccionar “Not now”.

• En la pantalla que aparece mueva la palanca Mixture hasta que

aparezca en la caja de texto y pulse “OK”.

• Repita el proceso con “Engine 1 propeller Axis” y “Eje de gas motor

1”, con las palancas que correspondan.

4.2. CONFIGURACIÓN A TRAVÉS DEL PANEL DE CONTROL “VF-Test&Calibrate”

LDesactive la casilla “Activar mandos”, para desactivar la gestión de dis-

positivos completamente.

Si tiene más de un dispositivo y desea desactivarlos individualmente lo

podrá hacer a través de la Pestaña “Control de ejes” y eliminando las

asignaciones configuradas.

Instalación del panel de control “VF-Test&Calibrate”

Ir a la carpeta “VF-Test&Calibrate”del pendrive suministrado con el TQ3.

Copiar el fichero “VF-Test&Calibrate.exe” en el escritorio (o en la carpe-

ta preferida en su ordenador), y ejecútelo.

Configuración previa

Si decide usar el panel de control “VF-Test&Calibrate”, antes deberá

desactivar el control de los joysticks integrado en Flight Simulator-

Prepar3D, para ello acceda a “Settings” y pulse el botón “Controls”.

Uso a través del panel de control “VF-Test&Calibrate”

Seleccionar dispositivo (Select device)

Sitúese en la pestaña TQ3.

En la columna de la derecha verá los dispositivos TQ3 que hay dispo-

nibles. Si desea usarlo, deberá seleccionar uno de los dispositivos para

usarlo y pulsar “Save Current Configuration”.

Si el dispositivo funciona y se ha instalado correctamente, verá cómo las

barras se mueven al accionar las palancas.

El dispositivo TQ3 es compatible con X-PLANE sólo en las funcionali-

dades Throttle, Propeller y Mixture. No podrá hacer uso de Reverse,

Feather y Cut-Off.

• Poner las palancas del TQ3 hacia arriba del todo.

• Ejecutar “X-PLANE”. Una vez cargado, si aparece una pantalla de se-

leccionar avión junto a otras opciones de vuelo. Proceder cargando

un vuelo.

• Ir a la parte superior de la ventana con el ratón, aparecerá un menú

con las opciones: Acerca de (About), Archivo (File), Aeronave (Aircraft),

Ubicación (Location) , Entorno (Enviroment), Ajustes (Settings)…

Clicar en “Ajustes” (Settings) y en el desplegable seleccionar “Joystick

& Equipo” (Joystick & Equipment) como se ve en la imagen.

Asignación de ejes

• En la ventana que aparece, ir a la pestaña “Ejes” (Axis), mover la

palanca de “POWER” en la zona de “POWER”, sin bajar a la zona de

“REV”. Un elemento posicionador determina el límite entre estas dos

zonas. La palanca debe moverse en toda la zona de “POWER”.

• Una de las barras de la lista debería moverse. Cambiar la acción del

eje a “Throttle” clicando en el menú desplegable de al lado de la

barra correspondiente.

• Repetir el procedimiento con la siguiente palanca del dispositivo

“PROP RPM” y asignarle “Prop” del menú desplegable. Recuerde

mover la palanca sólo en la zona de “PROP RPM” sin bajar a la zona

de “FTH”.

• Mover la siguiente y última palanca del dispositivo “MIXTURE” y asig-

narle “Mixture” del menú desplegable. Recuerde mover la palanca

sólo en la zona de “MIXTURE” sin bajar a la zona de “CUT OFF”.
