Remove the retaining c-clip and washer. 3. Pull the motor apart. 4. Remove the shaft. If necessary, tap the shaft with a hammer and pin punch / nail set. 5. With the motor shaft inserted into a cordless drill and spinning, cut a new groove for the c-clip with Dremel. 6. Put the c-clip into new groove and slide washer onto shaft. Use a needle nose to pinch the c-clip closed tightly. Temporarily put motor back together. 7. With the shaft fully inserted in motor, use a Sharpie to mark where the grub screw will now contact the shaft. 8. Pull shaft back out. With a Dremel, cut a new notch in the shaft for the grub screw. 9. Mark the end of the shaft where the notch is so it’s easier to find. Reassemble the motor, insert the shaft and put the set screw back in with some thread locker.
