■ According to analysts, until 2022 the trade in food products in Europe will increase by EUR 377.6 billion, reaching EUR 2,289 billion.
■ Poland is currently Europe’s eighth food trade market. Experts estimate its value at the level of almost EUR 63 billion.
■ According to experts, food product sales in Poland will grow by 3.1% year-over-year. This growth is faster than in countries we-althier than Poland - France (2.1%), Germany (2%) or Italy (2%).
■ The top ten countries with the highest future growth rate of the food trade market comprise 6 countries from Central and Eastern Europe
■ The market is estimated to reach the value of EUR 73.22 billion in 2022.
■ As per data by Statistics Poland, Polish consumers spend on food as much as 25% of their income.
■ Polish food trade market develops in a very stable manner thanks to current prosperity and constantly decreasing unem-ployment rate.
