Description of the activity carried out

For the first time in B&H was organized Join or common procurement of equipment for 2 universities in accordance with national legislation. A tender procedure was conducted according to the specification that was verified and approved. Laptops, computers and printers were purchased, which significantly increased the capacity of research offices and centers.

2.3. University managements educated on the C&C implementation

Members of the University managements are educated on the Charter and Code implementation. In order to make the university an excellent environment for the researcher, it is necessary to educate the management about the significance of improving the position of human research potential. Representatives of the management boards of the partner institutions were educated on the implementation of the Charter and Code through the “HR Excellence in Research” by HR expert from the partner Universities.

2.4 HRS4R strategy created and adopted at partner universities

Formed work group developed strategy HRS4R. This strategy was adopted by Senate of the University and sent to European Commission for final decision about acceptance.

2.7. Plagiarism monitoring tools implemented

This activity is conducted together for B&H universities. The Software Purchase Agreement was signed on June 20th, 2017. The software is delivered and tested.For the full implementation of the software, it is necessary to adopt a by-lows on the University level.

A report about functionality of ethics committee is made. Following chapters were done: abstract, introduction, national legal framework in the partner country, bodies responsible for ethics, institution’s legal framework and remarks/ suggestions for improvement.

WP3. Excellent researchers for the community

3.1. Researchers trained on C&C and HRS4R

Working group held 2 seminars and educated 102 researchers from different levels. Special emphasis in education was on significance and role of European charter and code for researchers, developed strategy of human resources for researchers, presentation of internal analysis results, methodology of scientific research work, entrepreneurial skills, connection with industry organization

3.2. Webpages offer opportunity links

All researchers are registered in the university information system. Also all researchers are registered in the students’ survey system. And, all researchers will be registered in the eNIR system, recently developed. For now, there is activity related to enter all research results in this system.Other visibilities will be done during getting HR research in excellence

3.3. Young researchers trained on research methodology

On 21st Jun 2017 University of East Sarajevo organized training seminar: Research methodology training of WBC young researchers at Rectorate Conference room. Training seminar was referred to Vice Deans of the Faculties within our University, and young researchers at Rectorate and University Computer Centre. During the next three weeks, similar seminars were organized at 14 Faculties within our University. Overall satisfaction of the participants and the organizers were very high. Most of participants are willing to participate in the similar events in the future, because they find this kind of event as extremely useful, motivating and capacity building opportunity.

3.4. Young researchers trained in various skills

Description of the On September 2017 University of East Sarajevo organized two-day


activity carried out

training seminar for WBC young researchers at Rectorate Conference room. Training seminar entitled “Training of WBC young researchers in various skills” included lectures and workshops on topics: project management, intercultural communication, ethics in research and entrepreneurship. The lecturers were the professors from the University of Coventry, and from University of Liege. The aim of organizing a two-day seminar is to improve the skills of young university researchers in the region in terms of planning and conducting research, participation in research projects and the foundations of entrepreneurship.

WP4. Quality at Re@WBC

4.1. Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) established

Our project team member prof. dr Dejan Bokonjic appointed in this team.QAC will meet regularly to prepare project quality standards, procedures and reports, to discuss and evaluate the progress of the project realization, to monitor the activities of all partners, and manage whatever problems there may arise in the course of the project. It is planned that QAC meets once a year though it is possible to have more frequents meetings if necessary.

Dissemination plan is developed and regularly implemented. Several seminars organized for dissemination of project activities. Presentation of main project goals, work packages, activities and

expected results are conducted at the Senate of the University of East Sarajevo, Steering Committee of the University in East Sarajevo and Scientific Councils of all 17 faculties of University of East Sarajevo. All members of mentioned bodies are informed about Re@WBC project details. Presentation of Re@WBC project was done at The Eight International Agricultural Symposium AGROSYM 2017, at Termag hotel, Jahorina, Republic of Srpska, BiH with more than 1300 participants: scientists, researchers, private and public sector representatives and NGO representatives from 85 countries.


All activities are disseminated on the Faculty and University level, and also, during some of conferences in organization of the University.

5.4. The label "HR Excellence in Research" obtained by a number of WB partner universities

All necessary documents were submitted. First assessment of UES has been ‘positive with minor changes’. We clearly defined responsible persons for each activity and also we made robust monitoring plan. After re-submission application for HR award, we got positive assessment and HR award is granted to UIS.
