Background

The SAP Complementary Software Program (CSP) provides an easy integration via IDocs and BAPIs to the main system.

This enables any SAP module to be supported by external system driving RF equipment or any other type of equipment

LES 4.5B includes native RF GUI support for the main WM transactions (i.e. TO execution, Inventory counting).

LES 4.6B includes native RF GUI and nonGUI support for main WM transactions, and the loading control functionality.

The nonGUI functionality is achieved by the use of the new character-cell front-end called SAPConsole.

Character-Cell Frontend - SAPConsole

The backbone for interfacing to external devices, with NO third-party middleware

SAPConsole is released on the presentation-CD with Rel. 4.6b

Supports Character-Cell RF terminals, and other character-cell terminals e.g. VT220

Possible support for Voice recognition terminals

Supports standard ABAP/SAPGui application, which enables

Standard Development - Development for RF and other control devices could be performed by ABAP/4 programmers

Efficient testing and maintenance - Application testing could be done locally in a standard SAPGui environment

Increase the reusability level of the ABAP/4 development
