Predictive Planning estimates number of access points (Aps) based on area
Not a survey tool! No knowledge about the RF environment
Useful to estimate survey time

Planning Tool vs Onsite Surveys

We will always be clear on disclaimers:
A planning tool DOES NOT replace a site survey
Every time you can, do an onsite site survey
Don’t complain if you only use a planning tool only, and get imperfect coverage after deployment
BUT: how do you guestimate a number of APs for a new deployment?
This is needed to evaluate the cost of the deployment
This is needed to evaluate the duration of the site survey
Who Needs a Planning Tool?

When is using only a planning tool dangerous?
Large deployments
Complex floors plans
Demanding applications
Deployments where Wi-Fi quality is critical (healthcare etc.)

Our objective: Online planning tool (no need to install onsite software)
Easy to use (a child can complete a project in less than 7 minutes)
Dynamically evolving – offering more options through dynamic new releases, while keeping the interface simple
Better than anything else out there (better interface, easier to use, more accurate underlying math, more options)
Did we achieve this? Oh yeah, and more…
