The 13.56 MHz readers with IP67 protection are used for non-con-tact identification of data carriers on workpieces and workpiece car-riers in the production process. The stand-alone readers are linked to the control level directly via the Profinet interface - without the need for an additional processor. The integrated 2-port Ethernet switch makes it possible to expand the system with little effort. These rea-ders support RFID standard ISO 15693 and the Balluff High-Memory tags with fast data transfer. Data carriers are available in various form factors with a wide variety of properties. An integrated web server is used for making settings, status monitoring and diagnostics and requires no special cables or additional software.
