Calling all Legos

Do you have any old or extra LEGOS? Please consider donating them to the River Grove Public

Library! We are hoping to start a LEGO club this summer and would like to make this a regular

program. To get it started we need your help. We will gladly accept whatever LEGOS you have -- old

or new, sets or mismatched jumbles. All donations will become library property and will be used for

library programs only. If you can help, please drop off your donations at the front desk during regular

library hours.

KIDS…….KIDS…….KIDS…….KIDS…….KIDS…….KIDS……. In order to avoid the dreaded “summer slide,” which occurs when children don’t read during the

summer and lose critical reading skills, the River Grove Library will be offering summer reading

programs for kids, tweens and teens. This year’s theme for pre-readers (ages 2-5), early and

independent readers (ages 6-8) and tweens (ages 9-12) is BE A STAR!

The Teen Summer Reading Program this year is The Book Was Way Better Then the Movie! and is

designed for ages 13-18. Participants can pick up a reading log at any time. Teens will earn weekly

raffle tickets by reading, with extra tickets for those who read a book that has been turned into a

movie.
