REPRESENTATIVE PROJECT EXPERIENCE

RHEA-MIMS HOTEL, NEWPORT, TENNESSEE

A BPR Principal served as development manager for the adaptive reuse of the Rhea-Mims Hotel. A dilapidated hotel was transformed into an elegant senior housing facility. Forty-two hotel rooms were converted to a 17 unit senior housing unit facility for the Newport Housing Authority. The 75 year old solid masonry structure required complete structural reconstruction, new building HVAC systems, elevator, fire, life, safety, and sprinkler systems. The interior décor

was restored to bring its original 1925 character back to life. Project cost totaled two million and was funded utilizing a combination of seven grant/loan sources
