Biography

A N D R É B I S S O N — V O C A L S / G U I T A R

Since 2005, Andre Bisson (Hamilton, Ontario) has been entertaining

audiences in Canada, US, Ireland, England, Wales with his 5-7 piece

band. He is known for his up-beat renditions of classic songs (B.B. King,

The Blues Brothers, The Commitments, Motown, Stevie Wonder...). Andre

has been recognized in the blues community for his 5 studio albums

gaining publicity and exposure through radio, blues magazines, and

blues awards throughout the world. He has also performed before great

artists such as Robben Ford, Jimmie Vaughan, Steven Page, and Colin

James.

Andre won 2015 Male Vocalist of the Year by The Hammer Blues Awards

and his was nominated for Overseas Artist for the British Blues Awards. He

was also nominated for 13 Hamilton Music Awards including Blues

Recording of the Year at the 2009, 2011 and 2013 Hamilton Awards,

Voted Best Rhythm & Blues Album of 2009, 2013 by Blues Underground

Network, and Voted Best CD by the Hamilton Blues Lovers. All of his

albums have further cemented Bisson’s place as a master in the rhythm

and blues music scene.

While on tour to the UK & Ireland, the band travelled and performed at

festivals such as: The Bentworth Bluesfest, The Worcester Beer Festival,

Sunflowerfest, Congleton Jazz & Blues Fest, The Harvest Time R&B Festival,

Beatleweek in Liverpool and great venues such as the Blues Dragon

Rhythm & Blues Club, The Cavern & Jericho Tavern. Andre and his band

just arrived home from their 5th and month long UK/European Tour this

past August. September 2015 Andre released his 6th and newest album

“Left With the Blues” that is already been played all over the world. This

year Andre takes his band on an across Canada Tour in August 2016

and to the UK in September 2016,

Andre and his musicians take pride in producing a professional

performance. The band is punctual, polite and very considerate of the

venues that they play in. We help with marketing by making posters,

postcards to hand out, contacting local newspapers, television and

radio stations to help make each event a success. These are the

qualities that come to mind when hearing the name André Bisson.

Always a consummate performer, Andre provides a refreshing, fun and

enjoyable experience for music lovers.
