Livingston Woman Hospitalized fromAccident, GOODRICH, August 15, 2013 Ataround 9 pm on August 14, 2013, a white1997 Ford F150 was northbound on US59in Goodrich when the driver, Shawnie DeniseWilliams, 44, of Livingston, fell asleep at thewheel. Her pickup veered to the left andslammed headon into a guardrail. AmeircareAmbulance Service was dispatched to thescene along with the Goodrich and LivingstonVolunteer Fire Departments. Additionally,Deputies Adam Norris and Byron Dunawaywere dispatched along with Trooper DarwonEvans with the Texas Highway Patrol. Shawnie Williams was pinned in hertruck after the guardrail impaled her pickupthrough the floor pinning her leg. Firemenused the jawsoflife to cut her out of thetruck. Williams was pulled out through thepassenger's side onto a gurney. She wastransported to Livingston Memorial Hospitalwith serious injuries. Traffic on the northbound side of 59 was partially blocked duringinvestigation and cleanup. A rollback wreckerfrom Ken's Towing recovered Williams'vehicle and it will be stored at Harrison BodyShop in Livingston.

Williams was pinned inside he truck as firemen tried to figure out how to free her.

Once Williams' leg was freed, she was pulled through the passenger's side door, loaded onto a gurney and driven to Livingston Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.

What a Mess: The railing was still attached to its posts. Firemen used a saw with a metal cutting blade to cut the contorted railing into pieces in order to clear it off he road.
