Say: There are a lot of things that happen in a story. We call this details. Let’s read to find out the details in the story. Teacher will read and emphasize through intonation but not stopping the story flow.

I am enclosing a paper template of a blank egg to decorate if you have extra time.

~The classroom counts every day during conference. If you have a ball handy to bounce, you can bounce the ball for the amount of days into the month it is. Example: Today is April 23rd now let’s bounce the ball 23 times and count to the number 23! You can also clap 23 times with your child to the amount of days. Continue throughout the week.

~For Math, have your child clap the day of the month it is or they can bounce a ball, tap their hand along with you on a table top, or let them touch the amount of objects you may have at home. Example: Today is March April 6th now let’s touch, clap or bounce the ball 6 times and count to the number ! You can also clap 6 times with your child to the amount of days. Continue throughout the week.

Assessment Graph is attached where you can determine by either placing the pictures in a bag and having your charting the result that they pick out. In our classroom we sing “Shake, shake, shake the bag and show us what you get…” Students will then tally up which item they picked most.
