Money often causes people to act funny.

The love of money causes a host of problems: “The love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs” (1 Tm 6:10, ESV).

“The four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, „Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!‟ And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, „Worthy are you, our Lord and God,to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created‟” (Rev 4:8-11, ESV).

There is nothing we can do to merit salvation: “We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away” (Is 64:6, ESV).

The Savior has given us the gift of righteousness.

“If, because of one man‟s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men” (Rom 5:17-18, ESV).
