My Fine Art and Photography has been exhibited and sold. I produce CD covers, web sites and publicity material. I’ve taught Web Design and Life Drawing and worked on Community projects. Currently I work as a Learning Assistant on Apple Macs in an Art Department, paint children’s puzzles and run a Jazz Club among other things. TRAINING & EDUCATION: 1996-1999 BA(Hons) in Fine Art (Painting) at UCE (now BCU) Grade: two one 2000-2001 OCN Certificate in DTP(Design) at Matthew Boulton College (a print oriented course covering Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and HTML/Dreamweaver. 2001 Gallery in the Trees (left) - a “Public Art” training course (NVQ level 4) and exhibition. 2002 Shadow Artist on Gallery 37 – Shadow Artists working with 16-24 year olds. I also have 1 “A” Level and 9 “O” Levels including Maths and English, and a first stage (7307) FE Teaching qualification. CURRENT EMPLOYMENT: LEARNING ASSISTANT at Solihull Sixth Form College (from Jan 07) - duties include assisting BTEC Art Students in the Apple Mac suite and getting them up to scratch with graphics software (Illustrator, Photoshop etc) and the operating system, and maintaining the computers. Current employment contd over I redrew this tigers head as a vector graphic for an Indian Restaurant sign in Bearwood

PROFILE:

I spent twenty plus years in the Print mostly mixing and matching inks before coming to Birmingham to study Fine Art and then DTP.

My Fine Art and Photography has been exhibited and sold. I produce CD covers, web sites and publicity material. I’ve taught Web Design and Life Drawing and worked on Community projects.

Bearwood Jazz I am involved in the running, publicity, and booking and promotion of acts. This includes designing flyers and posters, maintaining the website and a lot more besides.

Commercial Art I paint and design handmade children’s puzzles.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY:

ROTAPRINT/PANGRAPHICS (1988-1996) - COLOUR MATCHER Mixing and matching special-mix inks for the Small-Offset Printing Industry, and answering technical inquiries. I was also First Aider.

TIMES NEWSPAPERS LTD (1984-1987) - FIRE/SECURITY OFFICER Fire, Security, Commissionaire, First Aid, and Health and Safety.

ALCAN FOILS LTD (1973-1983) - COLOUR MATCHER and LAB ASSISTANTMixing and matching liquid inks for Gravure and Flexographic Printing; also developing inksand lacquers in the Development Laboratory.
