The First Family motored from the South Grounds of the White House to the Anderson House, Washington, D. C., the Headquarters of the Society of Cincinnati, to attend a diplomatic reception for the President's daughter, Tricia, and her finace, Edward Finch Cox.

The First Family was met at the entrance hall of the Anderson House by:

The First Family, accompanied by the Cox family, went to the Great Hall.

The President and his daughter, Tricia, went to the Blue Room.

The President and Tricia proceeded to the altar fashioned in the Rose Garden.

The President gave his daughter, Tricia, in marriage to Edward F. Cox.

The President and the First Lady went to the Blue Room.

The wedding party went to the Blue Room for official photographs. For a list of members of the wedding party see APPENDIX "A".

The wedding party received 398 guests in the Blue Room. For a list of guests, see APPENDIX "B".

The President, the First Lady, Tricia and Edward Cox returned to the second floor of the Residence.

The First Family attended the wedding reception in the East Room.

The President and the First Lady returned to the second floor of the Residence where they entertained relatives.


The President talked with Chief Usher Rex Scouten.

The President telephoned Mr. Ziegler. The call was not completed.
