The Presidential party flew by helicopter from the Andrews AFB to the Ellipse. For a list of passengers, see APPENDIX "A".

The President motored from the Ellipse to the South Lawn of the White House.


The President went to the Oval Office.

The President, accompanied by David Eisenhower. motored from the South Grounds of the White House to the St. Matthews Cathedral.

The President was greeted on his arrival by Patrick Cardinal O'Boyle and Bishop Edward Herrmann.

The President and David Eisenhower attended the memorial services for Vincent T. Lombardi. The Eulogy was delivered by the Reverend John Hogan. Assi::tant pastor of Mr. Lombardi1s parish Our Lady of Mercy. in Potomac, Maryland.

The President was telephoned by Secretary of State William P. Rogers. The call was not completed.

The President motored from St. Matthews Cathedral at 1725 Rhode Island Avenue, N. W. to the south grounds of the White House.
