Penn Cambria - 24 Bedford - 0 Penn Cambria took advantage of a slew of second-half mistakes by Bedford to key a scoring outburst as the Panthers shut out the Bisons, 24-0, on Friday night at Panther Stadium. “I was just saying to our coaches before the game that it didn’t seem like we had any breaks go our way all year,” said Penn Cambria coach Ernie Fetzer. “I think coming into the game we were at minus nine in turnovers. So it was nice to see a few breaks go our way in the second half.” The game was scoreless at halftime, but the Panthers (6-2) caught their first break when their kick to open the second half was accidentally kicked short and recovered by Penn Cambria at the Bedford 35. That 35-yard drive to open the half accounted for all but one of the Panthers’ total yards for the second half. But the Penn Cambria defense came up with three turnovers, turning two into scores, to create the lopsided final score.
