LinkedIn– Invitation - a request to join a network.– InMail - direct email message to someone in your network without
exposing their email address (premium service).
– 1st Degree Connections – People you know directly on a personal or professional level.
– 2nd Degree Connections – Connections to each of your 1st degree connections that you are not directly linked to.
– 3rd Degree Connections – Connections to each of your 2nd degree connections that you are not directly linked to.
– Recommendations – Comment written to recommend a colleague you know.
– Status Message – Update your network daily with what you are working on or information you may need.
– Answers – an area that allows for questions to be posted so that experts in your network can provide answers.
