by Sara Varon

Summer Camp incorporates Summer Reading! “Chicken and Cat”, a story about friendship, contains only pictures. Express 5 Staff encouraged the kids to create their own stories about each page. This engaging activity allowed the children to use their imaginations and come up with fun stories about Chicken and Cat’s fun travels!

ALL CAMP TRIP TO THE BRONX ZOO!

Question: Why couldn’t the Elephant use the computer? Answer: Because he was afraid of the mouse!

All of our campers and staff visited the Bronx Zoo on July 11th.

SPORTS CAMP YANKEE STADIUM TRIP

Head Counselor, Omar Thompson, led his Sports Camp group around Yankee Stadium on July 10th. This special tour included views of the outfield, infield, and dugout. Kids learned about Yankee Stadium fun facts, team statistics, and stories about the Yankee’s most valuable players throughout time! Did you know that about halfway through every game, the grounds crew performs the YMCA!?
